I agree with a lot of the points made about school.
There are many reasons people skip school:
They find it boring,
Peer pressure,
They need a smoke,
A form of rebellion,
Can't be bothered to get up in the morning,
Haven't done homework,
Are afraid of getting bullied,
Don't like the teachers,
Or even general phobia of school.
I mean the people that i know that skip school usually skip it for the wrong reasons, like they want to hang around with their mates on the street corner for a couple of smokes. Not that bright.
However none the less, I still believe that the education system has been poorly looked after. I don't like the structure of it, it's not exactly modern, and doesn't look at the bigger concepts in live. They make you feel as if you must go to university otherwise you will be a failure. Plus once you have spent fives years or more doing a degree you spend the rest of your life paying off debts. And half the people i know haven't got anywhere with the degree they earnt, they're in Somerfields stacking shelves.
I mean i wouldn't be the person i am today if i had not have gone to school, because I t's all part of growing up. Peer pressure, skipping school, doing subjects you don't like and think are useless. I still feel we could make it better for future generations to come. Not all of us manage to cope with the difficulties in school life and are able to look back on it and laugh.
The education system certainly needs redesigning if you like, and tests don't get me started on how useless they are, are at least the ones that the schools produce.
And perhaps it's because I'm male that i seem to see a lot of girls skipping class, like when you buy a car and notice that same make everywhere you dirve. And girls seem to be more rebellious as well, not tucking in their shirts, having their tie really short, wearing short skirts etc. And the worst thing is a lot of them get away with it.
