Oddworld Stranger Review Score?

Hey it might be a bit early to talk about this, but since we know the game is golden and coming out late January 2005. I was wondering to hear your opinions guys on what Oddworld Stranger Wrath Review Rating it will get

I say 9.0+ the lowest i bet is 8.5 but I think it will be higher than that And I dont trust GameSpot they are bad reviewers I trust my homies at www.ign.com =D

I wouldn't even care if I hated the game (which I won't), as long as it gets good reviews I will be happy. Chances are the fate of the Oddworld Quintology rests on this game; if it fails like Munch, I have a feeling Lorne might get frusterated and leave the project unfinished.

I doubt it'll fail. It's looking hella good. Plus, no sudden console switch like MO.

It did have console switch.

It was both on PS2 and Xbox now its ONLY on Xbox which i love I hate PS2 :P

Too many gaming websites are claiming this game is too good, so for it to get bad reviews, you'd have to have some sort of grudge towards Lorne, Microsoft, or EA.

In the past, Oddworld's games have always scored highly. So I doubt Stranger's Wrath will receive anything bad.

I agree with Alcar. All of the Oddworld games have gotten good reviews in the past, and I'm sure Stranger's Wrath will be no exception. Even though MO was considered a disappointment, many reviewers still gave it good reviews. The game just looks too amazing to me to even be capable of getting less than a 9.0!

Agreed.

I am 100% sure it will get a 9.0 or higher for the GFX cause its looks very sweet especially the CG parts

Sound is pretty amazing too very nice quality I was watching a movie of the oddworld stranger in the www.oddworld.ea.com << official site even on internet the sound is very good, cant wait to hear it on Xbox

The "live ammo" idea and the FPS + TPS = new style of gameplay. Oddworld not only have the platforming but now even have First Person Action and Third Person Action mixed in with lots of elements and a bit of RPG in the live ammo since you can upgrade them Gameplay should get a high score without a doubt.

The introduction will get a nice score cause OH alwayz makes good covers for the games and ingame menus, etc...

I think this is one of the "big" games of 2005.

I have to play it myself...
I can't realy judge from what some previews tell... but I'm already sure it will be an awesome game.
I don't think it can go under 7.5

Considering Oddworld's track record with review scores, and the fact that this game now caters for the broad range of trigger-happy gamers (and there are SO many of them), we can expect this game to be received by more people, and subsequently, better review scores.

Perhaps this was the plan all along. Afterall, Oddworld Inhabitants' goal is to have Oddworld in every living room in the world. By changing genre, they've allowed a whole different set of people to access their games, and along with that, all the previous Oddworld fans they've collected from past games. Sounds like the perfect plan to me

Hm I got my January 2005 OXM on December 22nd or i think even earlier so there is a possibilty that I can get the magazine before the game comes out and post the Review Score here
