Will Stranger Meet Abe?

One thing that's been bugging me, will Stranger meet Abe in the new game? I'd really love to see the two storylines cross. Call me old fashioned but i really like bildungsroman style games, the way the game focuses on one characters development throughout. I'd really be disappointed if Oddworld lost the plot of Abe, it would be a shame to give up what they've created. If not, will the game be set before the time of Abe or something?

Abe won't be in this game, like Lanning said, the only thing we already seen is the fuzzles. And it's most unlikey that Abe will meet Stranger.

Oddworld Inhabitants will go back to Abe later, they are focussing on Stranger now

If Abe saw him, he would problay possess Stranger and use him, because he's an industral.But that would never happen, both very diffrent people. That's why Abe & Munch are friends.

Stranger doesn't realy fit in the industrial category... but I'm not sure Iwould like to posses Stranger via Abe...

Just a note here guys . Abe may not be back . In a review on XBM it seems lanning said he ''might'' go on with Abe but unlikely . But I doubt he'll meet stitchlips . Unless Abe magically teleports to stranger's land

If Abe is in Nicaragua, Stranger is in Australia... for all the geographical sense that makes on Oddworld. Theoretically they could meet up, but Stranger doesn't strike me as the kind of person to go on adventure holidays to oppressed industrial countries - not that his seems much better.

I couldn't find the other thread, so this might as well stay. I did find a lot of horrible threads that must have cropped up in my absense, or which I forgot about. Thank Odd for a steady stream of on-topic news to keep me sane in GD.

I doubt the two characters would ever meet. The new game looks great, but it would be terrible if OI gave up on Abe =(

You have to remember Oddworld goes way beyond Abe.

You read XBM ? Came from Lanning's mouth itself . Personally I don't like stranger . I like oddworld for Abe . And the fact it was a neat little puzzle game . Stranger is the opposite however . It is a game of Brute Force and no puzzling . Does'nt mean I won't buy it however . And who knows . Maybe OWI has a little surprise up their sleeve which involves Abe

In the XBM article, Lorne said that the Quintology as games will return when technology has most definitely progressed enough for Lorne's ideas and desires for it to be realised fully. He also says that the Quintology may possibly be released in the form of films before the remaining games come out.

He did not say anything along the lines of “Abe may not be back.”

I realy hope the Quintology come as games come first, then the moives would be alot sweeter.

Stranger still has some puzzleing going on, just take a look at the Live Ammo.

for me it's allright if they release the movies before the games, it doesn't matter realy for me

I don't want them to meet in this game. Depending on future storylines it might be nice. I do expect a 'cameo' (or how do you call it) of Abe and Munch. (Maybe a wanted poster, or somebody talking about them, anything....)

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. It's possible that some of the characters in Stranger will probably talk about Abe and Munch at least, even if it is clear that they won't actually show up in the game.

The river that Stranger is saving is the Mongo River. That river's source is Ma'Spa, which is where the Gabbits go to breed. The book has pics of Abe and Munch in the region. Thus Stranger's success will directly affect Munch. Though I doubt they will meet each other ever.

First of all don't be whining, Abe is coming back (this is a fact) not in Stranger though but definetly going to be back. As for the river I am not truely sure how long it is, I once walked to the river edge (it was a long walk to) and looked at it. Boy was it big.

1 you are an inhabitant
2 you have to much imagination, you shoud write some fan fictions and post them in the right forum

When we say Alf is an Inhabitant we useually mean that he works for Oddworld Inhabitants, and unless Im miss understanding you about you being an Inhabitant I'd like some to at least try to make a more convincing story.
