Dead dont licence out oddworld!

xbox only is a good idea for the main games. i dont care too much about the gameboy versions since nintendo is having poor sales. but whatever happended to the good old console wars! remember that since the entire quintology is going to be on XBOX that all of the gamers are going to have one. putting a game out on PS2 or gamecube is then working against the fans, because the average gamer is not going to have both (or all three)systems. The hardcore fans are also going to get screwed with then having to purchase an entire new system. (lets face it, nintendo gamecube has less than 10 GOOD games) also by keeping it away from the PC format you are ensuring the stablility of the investment in the inital system (which happens to be XBOX right now) by assuring the fans that this console will have a future.

marketing is as important as writing the story well. we all remember the sobe/fan response. we should keep oddworld something unique, and at the same time make it something other people want to be a part of.

But what about money you say? wont it make more money if its on all 3 systems? not if no one buys it on all three. Look at ty the tazmanian tiger (FUN GAME!) but it sells for 20 or less always. IT STILL COMES DOWN TO THE GAME ITSELF. limited relase usually will ensure a healthy demand (if the game is well done). also pre ordering is a way to determine healty sales.

i remeber being happy that i wouldnt have to buy another console for some time because the quintology would be on xbox.

what about PS2 or Gamecube owners? so what, oddworld is on xbox! (that would sound much better if you could say "...and it always will be!" at the end) think about it, stop licencing off oddword to lesser systems. only xbox has the specs to run it like it should be run.

Thats very true, but think also of the other fans OWI is reaching when they do spread the game. I agree that it's good to take the high road and stick to the best system but it's also a good thing to expand your horizins. I would type more but Im very tired now, so.. good night!

I agree about keeping it on Xbox. But if they ever decide to release it on PC, I wouldnt be too upset. The people at Gearbox have made a great port for Halo, and kept the single player experience the same, just upped the multiplayer with so much new stuff, such as new maps, an editor, a few new weapons, new vehicles, etc. And made it great for online multiplayer.

If oddworld decides to make a pc version of any of the new games, either they should do it, or work closely with the company the way bungie did with Gearbox.

I'm on a resonable secret campain to get the exact wording of the "exclusive to X-Box" contract, just so I can find the loop-hole saying it's alright to seel for PC.

As you can probable tell, I have a PC.
I don't have an X-Box, andat the current price I won't be getting one!

I URGE YOU TO JOIN MY STRUGGLE FOR ODD ON PC!
