Oddworld Iraq! Do you think we should go to war with them?

I for one don't want to see us go to war with Iraq. We are already at war with Afgahanistan. I figure if Iraq is harboring tarrorist then we should go in and get them quickly and not cause any war with them. That would be disastorous and it could cause a third World War. A war with Iraq would cost the US over 2 billion dollors. It just won't be a good idea. But if Sodam Husain threatens everybody with nuculer weapons then what do we do?
The choice is yours.

I strongly am against it, I think if the US wanted to get Sadaam they should have done it ten years ago, back in Desert Storm, I personally think old man Bush is running the Show and not Jr. Why would he be trying to do the same thing his father did, if you wish to see my feelings on this situation, and my feelings towards, the president of my country, please check out 9-11 cover-up by Jacob, it is much more informative, than my post here.

I am for it. We might aswell take him out now, rather than wait until he makes the first move. The US supported him and started this mess, its their responsibility to clear it up. But lets just nuke him and get it over with.
Personally i would just nuke the entire area were he was...simple. Or send in three or four Assassins and snipe him. Or beat him with a stuffed Teddy Bear. And basically who cares if there is a WW3? I mean, come on. It wont exactly last long will it with the US' arayment of weapons...And plus, there'd be some good stuff to watch on Tv again.

I don't think so. Isn't the whole reason we're going to war with iraq based on the fact that we THINK they're making nuclear weapons? The US makes nuclear weapons all the time. We have hundreds of them! That doesn't justify an attack.

I think we should bomb hussein, and get it over with. It's not worth going to war about.

We should definately go to war with Iraq. I have no doubt in my mind that they have nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction and they will use them given the opportunity. Does everyone remember that weapons inspector that appears on the news and claims that the iraqi's dont have the capabillity to make these weapons? Many people dont know that he recieved a $400,000 gift from an Iraqi sympathiser. And even if the Iraqi's dont have these weapons, THEY HARBOR TERRORISTS! Hussein has terrorist camps in the no-fly zones!! The Iraqi's are a known believer in the destruction and hate of the United States! Some people say, maybe they dont have weapons of mass destruction, how would we find out if they do, WAIT UNTIL THEY USE THEM?!? It's sick how the media portrays the campaign against Iraq! This is a war against terrorism not afghanistan. Even if they didnt harbor terrorists, Sadaam Hussein is the mordern day Hitler, he and his evil regime should be destroyed. This man is the second antithesis of evil compared to Osama Bin Laden! We should destroy them quickly and now! I believe completely in the cause agaisnt Iraq because i believe in freedom!!

As much as war is a last result I am for it. I feel that this problem should be resolved right now. We have waited to long to do this and its time we take care of it. It is clear that Hussien posses nuclear and threatens to use it. Now I understand we also posses nuclear weapons but we do not threaten to use it for bad doings. If this will lead up to a war so be it. Its clear that peace cannot be held between us. We have the strength to take care of this now, why wait? Lets get it done.

If anything Nuclear Weapons may be one of the most dangerous types of weapons in his possession, but not the only. You actually have to look at all the Chemical Weapons and Biological weapons to, so I would say if we do attack Iraq, we need to target Sadaam, and not the whole country, once you get rid of him then we can go in their and get rid of his weapons of Genocide, and Mass Destruction. That is my opinion, instead of an all out war or no war at all.

We need to go in and take out only the one who is causeing threats not the country but its ruthless dictators. And establish order in the Middle east. But time and time again it hasn't work. I do believe that if there will ever to be someday peace in the Middle east then it will take the entire world to make it happen. Will there ever be peace? God only knows!

I for one would really care if there was World War 3. Think about it every day hearing fighter jets flying over head ready to bomb something not knowing that it could be you next. Hearing gun fire out in the distance woundering if it's your people or the enamy. And sleepless nights thinking they will re issue the draft and then you get called to join the service. Yikes it brings chills down my spine to even think of that! If they issued the draft again and they called me I would try for the Air Force because most likely you will not be in combat unless you are a pilot. You would most likely be loading missles on planes on a base somewhere.

War would be a bad thing.

Thank about it. Every country now has some sort of nuclear bomb. There won't be any place left to live! One nuclear bomb after the other, just think of the horiffic atom bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Nuclear bombs are many more times as potent and destructive.

Plus who knows what Bush will do with that kind of power at his hands. The US Governement has had experience in using atom bombs (they never should have dropped those bombs in the first place!), so whats to stop using another bomb again?

And everyone knows that Bush is war hungry.

If the US wanted to they could take him out by just bombing were he was situated, but that may actually injure civi's and thus they haven't. I dont get why they dont just send an assassin in. It'd be quick and easy. And PA:

(1) - They cant FORCE you into War no more...

(2) - If there was a War it would be mainly situated in the Iraqi country, no-where near where you live.

(3) - If you enlist in the Army, the best chance you have got is being a Sniper, cos when your in a plane you can be shot down easily.

If you look back at WW2 the U.S. used these weapons to retaliate against Japan due to the horrific and unexpecred bombing of pearl harbor in Oahu Honolulu city. After that had happened the Japanese empire surrendered and signed on a U.S. war ship. It was sad that all this came to pass, but now we and Japan are friends. It took little for both sides to forgive each other. But back to the subject. Why would you say Bush is war hungry. Is it not apparent we have been dealing with this problem for sometime without war. Perhaps now is the time we should finally finish it off. And the power the U.S. has is about one of the many big things holding the peace around the world......this can be turned around however due to 9/11 as it was clear we at home were not even safe. If war is what it will take to stop this terror, then I am for it. As much as alot here want no war you cant stop it, and I can assure you there will be many more to come wether we like it or not...its just a matter of fate.

NO WAR!! Me and 3 other friends who are against the act *glances at jacob and salty* are making a petiton trying to get about 5'000 people to sign it!! Its not an online one so you guys can't =(.

I think what we might be going to do is terrible. I reckon we will be just a bad as the terrorist dropping aload of bombs on top of innocent people who will soon be dead because of it.

The rulers should just talk about it!!! We are al human beings, so we all have feelings. And I am sure that every one will be just as afraid of going to war as we are!

It is a sick way of killing pople and I hate it!! I don't wan them to die. Even if they killed alot of people. If we nuke them salty they will do worse to us! And so on. Then the world will probably explode. We will all die, and well no more odd!

I don't want it!!!!

Ahh yes. If only we had that petition before WW1 & 2. Cos im sure that would have stopped it...

:

Ok firstly, the people we are going to attack are actual Terrorists, sure, some innocents may be killed but so what? It will lead to a better future...sposedly.

:

This just shows ur naivity...

:

No, because for starters we have talked about it and Saddam was just like "Yeh, your point?" and denied the UN inspectors access...He will end up nuking somebody or doing something with the Chem/Bio weapons...

:
If we nuke them salty they will do worse to us!
No...because they will be a ickle pile of black ash...

Did you know that the US President at the time, knew that the Japanese were going to bomb Pearl Harbour a day in advance?

The reason he said nothing was because the US couldn't declare war, they had to have been affected by it to enter the war. And so Pearl Harbour was sacrificed. Plus, the Japanese were after some fighter jets at Pearl Harbour and never found them either, because they were shipped out to sea (because the US President had alerted certain "important" people).

I'd also bring up the point that some of the wars America went to were pointless and greedy. And whats even worse it that Australia was involved in nearly all of them too. Our prime ministers can sometimes be total pushovers.

One particular war im referring to in what I just wrote above was the "Vietnam War" which was lost. I'm glad we lost. The Vietnamese were fighting for what was rightfully theres, their country. A lot of lives were lost, but it was rightfully their land, and im glad that they won.

I'd also like to say that Suddan Hussein is a fine leader, and a strong and tough one too. Afterall, he is still in power, for all these years. I don't agree with some of his actions though.

What I hate is that im my history classes, that we are taught what the text books say. A lot of it is total bull.

But then again, as the saying goes:

The first casualty of war, is truth.

I hope i'm not sounding ill mannered, we all just have our different views!

Hussian is a threat to society. What are we gonna do about it if he refuses to hand over his stuff? Blow him up, cause he'd probbably do the same to us. If we can have peace, good, brilliant, wonderful. If we can't, who would you rather have blown up?

Edit 1: R.T, ya missed Kaimana. He thinks war too.

I just want to pick up on Alcars post because he makes some good points.

To start off lets look back at WW2. It was clear that the U.S. had the info and threats, and warnings of something to happen. Because of our foolishness to not respond we paid. Thousands paid now sealed in the ships below pearl harbor. I seen the ships I been at the harbor..and its really sad. War is a bad thing, but to fight for a purpose is not. To go out and accomplish a task to secure safety and peace, may take more then just talk, it may take action. You all know that not everyone can be talked to to change them. I fell that if and when we enter war it will be for the better. Lives will be lost yes....but thats the sad cruelty of life. There will not be a end to this bickering and war it will continue on I assure you. We just have to be stronger then the hatred that is present in these conflicts. I say war because there is no other way I know and it is in fate that we do it. If any of you can think of a better resolution lets hear it. But I think it to be the only way now.

PA, im hoping for your sake that your not as naive in real life as you are on the forums. There is no such thing as 'Peace' in reality...So could you actually embrace the fact that there is going to be a war, we cant do anything about it, so, we might aswell sit back...and watch the fireworks (Prefarably with some Popcorn)

I think Hussein is a pathetic loser. War is not what it takes to get rid of this bastard. I think we should drop an atomic bomb wherever he is and kill the krazy motherf***er.

Sad zero-sum.....

The death by war, the death by the traffic accident, the death depended sick, and these are unchanging for dying. Man dies someday....
War?.
It is the scramble of the wealth by Power.
It is only killing time of those who love "Zero-Sum game".
We should notice early that there is no victor anywhere....

Why should he hand over his stuff (even if he has some, which he probably does, or will)?

What right does America have to get Husseins stuff? Why can't Hussein have America's stuff?

I think America should hand over their stuff to Hussein. Its only fair.

What im trying to get at here, is that, you can't demand stuff from someone if your harbouring the exact same stuff that you have as well.

Sure, let people in to inspect the place, and there probably will be nuclear weapons, etc. But so what!? America has nuclear weapons as well. Why doesn't America get rid of it's nuclear weapons as well? Like I said, its only fair.
