welli dunno how to post this here but i´ve got similar icons to abebabe´s the oddword ones. My wallpaper which I often change is from oddworlian. at the moment the newest.

Meh, mine's boring. It's just this bluish-green color and that's all. I can't put a picture as my desktop 'cause my computer's so darn stupid it messes it up.

How did you take screenshots of your desktop?
I have several Spyro the Dragon, MC Escher and WipEout images stored on my hard drive, and I use those.
Right now I have a Feisar wallpaper (Feisar is the name of a WipEout team and stands for Federal European Institute of Science And Research).
I always keep my icons the same, though. I have the hippy 'peace' emblem for My Computer, a necklace of karma beads for My Documents, and a flowerpot for the Recycle Bin (when the Bin is full, the pot has flowers in it).

theres a key on your keyboard called 'PrtScn/SysRg' (the actual name may variy) it is located on the right side of the keyboard at the top, on mine its right above the 'Home, page up/down, Insert, etc. set of keys. Anyway you hit that key, go to paint, select paste, and there you go

Well here's my desktop. I was actually going to change my wallpaper soon, I usually stick with the Oddworldian wallpaper but I saw this and thought I'd use it for a week or so. My desktop changes very often and, being a new computer, I haven't messed around with it too much yet. Anyway, here it is:

Ok , this is my desktop, but my wallpaper changes daily. I always use a different oddworld images. You see I have the theme installed (My computer icon,...) and I added some other Oddworld icons too. (on the right)



Edit: We resized your image, as it was taking forever to load (over 1 MB file). Bitmap files never seem to work on the internet!

i used to have that picture of abe getting the healing power in AE, from the weirdos movie sequence in necrum.

i had another pic for a long time, which was a redrawing of the front cover of 'The State of the Art' by Iain M. Banks. for anyone who doesn't know what that is [i.e. everyone], it showed a mechanical insect feeding at a flower, and looked cool.

my current wallpaper isn't OW-related, or related to anything, as far as i know. It's weird. i'm gonna try and email it to abebabe, so she could put it up.

Rettick, if you want a site to upload pictures to, so you can post them to the boards, you can get one from here. A lot of people here use them - they're pretty user-friendly, and they're free - at least, you need a passport, but then you've got one as you use M$ Smeggenger. I think "photo album" is easiest to use.

Freaky - to get a photo album you need to get a "passport", if you don't have one already.

I saw you edited my post. I know a bitmap is large in size, but how can I save an image with another extension? Or in other words, how do I put it into another 'format'? (I gotta learn to work with Photoshop I guess)

Even good 'ol Microsoft Paint allows you to save as a Jpeg or Gif file (I don't recommend Gif though as Paint's conversion is poor quality).

When you save the file, simply change the file type to Jpeg (the file type box should be under where you type the name).

Sorry about changing your post, but the file was taking forever to download, even on Cable modem.
