Who here reads fanfics?

Like I said, who reads fanfics? My favourite forum is fan corner but I go in there and all I see is fics! I know other people like to read them but I don't and it's starting to annoy me. Now don't go flaming me just because you have a different opinion, just tell me, yes or no?

What do you have against fics anyway? Its just another means to show how much people like Oddworld.

Yes. And I should point out that the main point of the Fan Corner is Fanfics, not, as certain glukkons appear to believe, Boring Fight Topics...

I guess. But that's not what I meant. I meant that someone started a fight topic. Can't remember who, but they made a scrab fights topic. Then paramite fights. That elevated to my mudokon wrestling. Then Phlegg got the idea and made shrykull battles. Then Aslik made up slig battles witch wes highly unsuccesful and creature battles which was even worse. you see what I mean? The fighting topics all started thanks to scrab and paramite fights.

in other words, if I am getting you,...the fight topics have gone way overboard...resulting in a lot of peeps getting bored with them.

This forum is generally for fan fics and art... I don't see why fics could annoy you, just don't read them. Lots of people like to read them. I think the battle topcs are pretty lame, myself. I don't get amusement from choosing an oddworld creature, and then having them fight step by lame step. I would like to know what you don't like about fan fiction. I just ignore the fight topics... could you give me your reasons why you don't like fics?

Well, the near-on continual fight topics (that I never understood anyway) were a little wearing, and they started to annoy me, too, but I just ignored them. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but is the idea of a "fan corner" not for fans to do fan-type stuff? ie write/draw etc.?

As Melv said, if something annoys you, don't read it. No one has a gun at your head. Besides, what would you rather, that no-one posted fics/pics? The forum would die very quickly, in that case.

O yeah and there where Smile Wars, Mudokon Gladiators, Animal Battles, Battles Glor, Gabbit Wrestling....

Trying to add orginality, I started Mudokon Boxing, featuring new rules, with dices and stuff. It was meant to get people interested in fighting stuff again.

But I was too late. People seemed so bored that they haven't even bothered to look. I should have given the topic a better title then just: "Mudokon Boxing". Looking at the title, it looks like just another fight. Only one person, Aussieabe, signed in, and started his/her own topic using these rules, Gabbit Boxing (crediting me!).

(O yeah Drippik, could you explain WHY you typed spam in my topic?!)

So the battles hype is over. Let's just remember the originality of Paramite5's Scrab Fights, long, long ago.....

And one of the worst things ever happened on the forums is the Glukkon meeting no interruptions!!!!!!!! no reading!!!!!!!!!! topic. (Also in Fan Corner.)
