Abe's Oddysee Soundtrack at last!

First, some bad news: the CMS used to power OddBlog is completely screwed, so neither Xav nor I are able to update the news on there for the time being. Here is a post I would like to make right now, but can't:

:
CGNetworks' (owned by publishers of The Art of Oddworld Inhabitants, Ballistic Publishings) Barbara Robertson has written an article on the design processes and game concepts behind Oddworld Stranger's Wrath with many quotes from Lorne and Sherry. “Character Ammunition” looks at the industrial reasons for Oddworld going action-oriented, the cinematic and gameplay advantages of dual perspectives, the backgrounds of Lorne and Sherry, some details on the creation of pre-rendered cinematic sequences and the creation of Live Ammo, and is accompanied by large, highly-detailed images from the game.

Oddworld Inhabitants have a booth at this year's Game Developers Conference. In addition, Lorne Lanning will be taking part in the “Additional question survey” of the event's “Designing the AAA Title: Letters from the Trenches” lecture.

Oddworld.com has updated with more tracks from the games: four mp3s from Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee have been added to the site's audio downloads, three of them previously available only through Alf's Fan Club and Tea. Also, twelve tracks from the Japanese promotional release of the soundtrack to Abe-A-GoGo have been uploaded.
I'll remove it when I can get it onto OddBlog. The news about the GDC was meant to be reported by Xav, but he couldn't, so I stole it.

Perhaps the best news for you all, though, is that the Abe-A-GoGo soundtrack you've all been hankering for is finally uploaded for you all to enjoy, unless you were able to download and retain all 38 tracks from the last time I hosted them for everyone. Also note that one of the MO tracks in the audio downloads is actually new, so if you haven't already, download that Munch Remix!

Enjoy.

Thanks Max, that's very good news. I've always loved the soundtracks to the Oddworld games.

All the AO tracks don't work for me. It just shows the blue Q of Quicktime, it's showed that it's been dowloaded, but no sound. Is this happening to anyone else?

MO and SW work just fine.

Edit: I fugured a way to listen to them, I copyed the URL and pasted on Quictime program which I opend, and you'll open it by pasteing in the URL section.

Oh yeah.. I've notified the Webmaster about the non-working tracks.. Though i don't think it'll help...

Anyways, thanks for the great news. Lol, the tracks are without voices. Cool...
