Do you bet?

I'm on campus now and basically I play a couple rounds of poker, alternating between Texas Hold 'Em and 5 Card Draw. Now I won't lie and say I'm great, I'm a little better than average and usually can win a little. It's strictly penny ante, I rarely see people go in more than 4 bucks. I also do quite a lot of betting on football. So far, I'm up 3 bucks. On the first rivalry game(good weeks, always get tons of bets) I won 12 bucks. On the second Vikings-Packers game, I lost 14. I won 3 on the Patriots and New England game and have a ton of bets riding on New England in the Super Bowl. I'm wondering if you guys do betting, how heavy it is if you do it, and what its usually I on.

When I was around 6 or 7, my older cousin (She was oh, about 20 at the time) taught me 5 Card Draw. I took my cup of random change and ended up winning around $1 from her. Now to me at that time, that was just so cool. Now that isn't even half of the money to buy a school lunch. Psh.

I like to gamble at times. One time I won 112.00 bucks from slots and then loseing half of it. Came close to winning the jackpot in Bingo on a cruise once. I was one away and it was so annoying when someone yelled "BINGO!" in the room. I was pissed. I tend to stay away from craps and rolet too risky. But I think I will bet some money on horse raceing one of these times since it seems to be a very popular thing in my area.

But I do understand the value of money so I will only gamble or bet money that I know I am going to get rid of. So when I lose it doesnt hurt me because I know that the money I used was just some extra fun money. Its not like my life saveings. You would have to be an idiot to do that.

In the long run though we all loose out on gambleing because the minute u win u tend to want more and more thus your going to lose. Its just something fun for me. I am not a hard core gambler. I do it for fun.

The reason I don't bet often is guys welsh on bets a lot up here. They'll owe me a dollar or 2 and I won't see a dime for half a friggin' year. And I hardly do hardcore betting. I've seen guys get in debt quite badly. Once a junior had to eat his own crap to cover his lost bets.

Not that much really.

I bet on a Horse Race once a year and I might put a couple of bucks into the slot machines when I'm in the casino, but that's about it.

But Poker is a fun game.
