Happy After Death

What do you think will happen after death? Will it be just eternal darkness and silence(As horrible as it sounds)? Or is their really life after death?

Personally, based on my religous beliefs, I think you going to go to Heaven with God and Jesus, or go to Hell, with Satan .

What do you think?

Beware! I fear Jacob will be shoiwng up very soon to say something or other.

I believe in life after death very strongly. I mean, If there was no life after death, what would be the point of this life?

I believe that there is nothing after death. What we consider living, or being aware/conscious, is just chemical and electrical reactions within our brains. When you die, your brain stops functioning, and you are no longer aware. You do not respond to or take in these stimuli anymore. Technically we are still here after death, since our bodies stay here wether we're dead or not, we just do not respond to any stimuli anymore. "The Afterlife" is nothingness...you basically stop existing and thinking altogether. You aren't aware of anything anymore.

I don't mean to upset anyone or anything...these are just my opinions...my beliefs. I don't mean to force it on anyone or say that this is THE afterlife, THE truth. Nobody can ever know what happens to us when we die.

After death, everyone goes into this giant room with a huge bed on it. Upon entering, all your clothes will dissapear and everyone will have a giant orgy in the middle. This will continue for the rest of eternity.... Celebrities will also be there such as Cameron Diaz... Kristin Dunst....

That is scientificly correct, but if I followed my life and beliefs by science(which is something us humans created) I wouldn't believe in God.

Then what? You get reincarnated or just nothing. No human can even imagine that. Darkness....you can't even know you are there. You can't even THINK. You would be insane from the nothing, but sane because you simply can't go insane because of no thought to become insane. To cut it short its a living paradox. There HAS to be something. I still belive in life after death.

Hahaha. Not meaning to start a debate but the way that was written was rather humorous.

I agree with Mac, and have for quite some time. Although I wish there was a place to go or something once dead, I believe that there will be nothing. Less than nothing, really.

I respect your opinion. But IMO (First off I do believe in God, and Jesus, etc. Im a Catholic.) I dont really want to get into a large religion debate here, but I feel that leaves this universe a little too unexplained. In fact it just leaves everything, all the unseen forces in this world unexplained.

I could go on for hours about what I believe happens after death, and things I have read that make sense, etc. But I dont really feel comfortable nor do I have the time to speak of them.

I believe in reincarnation. I think all beings have a soul that goes from body to body after the death to learn new things.

Stop being such a semential stain.

I believe one of two things -

We either go into a new life, just the same as this one, but more spiritual...or something.

We go to what we believe in. As in, somebody believes in reincarnation, they go and get reincarnated. Somebody believes they die and thats it, thats what happens to them. Somebody believes in Heaven and Hell, well, they'll either go to Heaven or Hell.

I can't imagine a nothing after death, it'd just be weird.

The only reason that we cannot actually imagine a nothing after death is that the human mind is un-able to comprehend it's own non-existance, thus spawing religion's after-lifes theories.

ok this is what I think. When you die your conscions leaves the body and then it becomes that thing everyone calls ghost. Leaving your conscions to wander forever or if one the other hand if you want to not be with the living anymore you go to the idea Mac came up with. My more crazy idea is that we all live in are own word and when we die every other thing go's with you. Its like a game you are made with other things but you are the only one with a conscions and every one is made to do the things they do. If you die from like a car crash it was made to hapen but that is just a strange idea I came up with at school as my techer blabers on.

I have another theory, after we die, we would still be concious because of our spirit. But because we are buried in the ground, or cremented and ur ash in an urn. Our souls would be trapped in there for eternity. We would live the rest of etenity in a black space.

Exactly. When the human race cannot comprehend a concept, they make up a farfetched explanation and call it truth. That's how we've got religion. Think about back in the stone age. What do you think early humans thought when they saw lightning and heard thunder? Loud noise, big boom. They didn't know what the heck was going on, so they most likely thought that the gods were angry at them. Or something.

I really don't want to form an opion, not just online, but in real life either. Death is one thing that will NEVER be comprehended, no matter what. Case closed.

I hate to form wrong opinions, and I could care less about what happens after I die. Eternal darkness is fine, because I know i wouldn't be comprending. An afterlife is fine, because I don't believe in a heaven/hell scenario. I imagine an afterlife, if any, could be like this one. You die here, your born there. You die there, your born in another life, etc...

Holy shit... I think the exact same thing. That everyone else is just here to entertain, train, teach, me things, and that everything is made for me. So when I die, it will all be over for everyone, but they won't know it because they aren't really a 'person', just a program, or script for me to interact with. I usually don't share my theory as people don't like me thinking of myself as the center of the existence and them as nothing.

Exactly. And Religion was also formed by early governments as a law structure. For example: The 10 commandments were just a way of stopping crime, because if people think that they're going to pay for it with their souls, they're not going to do it, or so the theory goes.

We shouldn't get started on that one, because then there'll be a big debate about who the real person is. Then the conflict will escalate, and eventualy we will have a possible World War 3, 4, or 6 through to 17.

I don't know what happens in the afterlife, the word is misleading in itself. I'd like to think there is something after we die, but that's because I'd not like to leave this world.

I get a 'feeling' through my body and mind when I seriously think about it. I also get the same 'feeling' when I think about how many hours I'm wasting by sleeping.

I would like to be with my family, though.

I think Lindseys and Fax's theory is quite thooper and would be better if true. Like, we become moulded into creatures of despair/happiness through our own actions and how we interact with the world around us. And then the next "level" is nastier/nicer depending on our actions on the prior level.

There is an afterlife and there is a Heven and a Hell. These places are real and well you don't have to believe me but they do exist. As God as my wittness they exist. Throughout my life I have had expierences which made me sort of understand the truth than how I was when I was younger. When my grandfather died years ago the night after he died I couldn't sleep. I felt a sudden rush of cold air and a presence among me and I had goose bumps. Honest to god I saw an outline of what it appeared to be my grandfather telling me that everything is just fine. Ever since I know that the after life truely exist. I am also a Catholic and well that strengthens my belief. when someone dies. don't weep by that grave for it is merely a bag of bones. That person is not there. For that person is alive. Heven and Hell is not what you think it is. In this new age the generation tend to think that we become individual gods when we pass they don't believe that there is only one God whome exist outside of us.

The Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit are three as one God.

Another religion.....thingy. I've stated my opinion before on this matter, but it doesn't seem to reach anyone, so I see no point in defending myself. May I just say that I don't judge those that don't share my beliefs. I still love you kids!
