the night before halloween, i'll sleep in my electric blankit, have solar winds

bombard me, wake up invisible, and dress up like a ghost

there, my secret is loose

That is one of the things I never understood about Halloween, how parents dress their kids up as cute, nice things. Like nurses.
Actually nurses are pretty scary. When they are holding needles...

I'm going to run around town in my huge foam Campbell's Soup costume and a cheap plastic Terminator mask and annoy people.

I'm going to keep Halloween simple this year. I bought an orange shirt with a jack o' lantern face on it. Yeah, baby!

You know what pisses me off about Halloween? How people say they are "Frankenstein", but if that were the case, they would dress up as the scientist, not the creature. Ya know what I'm sayin'?

My friend and I we are turning his Garage into a Haunted House for the Trick or Treaters. I am barrowing my neighbors Chainsaw takeing the chain off of couarse and dressing up as Leather Face from the Texas Chainsaw Masicur. We are building a maze out of his garage where we have professional Strobes, smoke machines and the music from the Nightmare on Elms Street with other neat props. I am takeing my car and makeing sort of an accedent scen in his driveway with dummys and things. We do this like every year we are like the best house on the block!

I'll be at home, telling any trick or treaters to piss off, as I always do. Bastards think they can nick another nation's tradition and use a religious festival to scab some tooth rot.

Go on, moan about how miserable I am, it would be the third year in a row you've done that.

Well, I'll probably spend most of All Hallows Eve and Halloween setting up "the display." No one in the neighborhood takes halloween as seriously as me. I'm not just content with the cliche happy face jack-o-lantern, no sir. I go all out. It does get harder to top yourself every year, though. After all, I did make several children cry last Halloween...

This year, I've got a wicked corpse/coffin/smoke and lighting effect thing planned.

However, I probably won't be able to see all the little ones enjoying my creation, as I'll be out "trick-or-treating" with my significant other and some friends. Some say we're a little old to go out and beg for candy... bah! Nonsense! You never get too old for Halloween, even if you do end up pulling off some stupid shit rather than "trick-or-treating" most of the time...

I'm just going as the typical black-cloaked skeleton. Gonna wear some cheap skeleton hands, and paint the Misfit's fiend skull on my face. Instant costume, baby.

EDIT: Max and Hobo, you're so miserable.

You speak only truth. Honestly, Halloween has to be the worst... thing... thing ever. What's it actually about?

October 1st is All Saint's Day, the day when, not completely surprisingly, we celebrate all the saints, their lives and what they did. However, it was decided (I've no idea by whom) that as a way of balancing things out, the day before should be when all the evil in the world can run amok, only to be defeated the next day.

At least that's what Paddy told us. But since All Hallow's Eve, like most Christian festivals, has its roots in pagan rituals and such, I'm not entirely sure. I could do a project on it, like I did with Christmas a couple of years ago, explaining all the traditions and customs, but I can't be arsed.

BAH! You're all miserable! The whole lot 'a ya!

The way I see it, all the other holidays have been corporately twisted beyond recognition... so why treat halloween any different? I mean, sure the whole thing has become a giant scheme for candy companies to make money, but c'mon! It's Halloween! It's the one day of the year you can dress up, act like a complete jackass, and get away with it.

Besides if you get tired of trick-or-treaters, just put a bowl of some random food product in front of your door. If it all gets taken by one greedy bastard, well then I guess it just sucks for the rest of the greedy bastards, now doesn't it?

Because I got my septum pierced and stretched to a 6 gauge [which has the girth of a fine point sharpie permanent marker] I am going as a voodoo witch doctor...thing.

I am only wearing my loincloth, and painting my entire body a deep red. My face will have somewhat of a tribal skeleton design painted on, and I will have feathers in my dreadlocks.

Oh, I'm also wearing my buffalo horn-septum tusk.

But the best part of my home made costume is my staff. It has two hollowed out coconuts at the top, and a dog skull fixed inbetween them.

The staff itself is made from bamboo, but carved to look like human bones.

I'll post a picture, eventually.

I don't tirck or treat. I don't have much liking for candy, really. At least the crap you get when you trick or treat. Actually last year I sat in my bushes with an airhorn and blasted the odd group that came up to our door.

Yes, I am a bastard

I'm really fecking happy that Finns don't celebrate Halloween. God, I'd hate it when some snotty, dressed-up brats would come to our door and asking for candy or threaten to blow up our house.

Yay, support!

Mr James caught me using his computer earlier. When he read Luke's post just there he mentioned he didn't like Halloween. So good on him. Infuriatingly, he's a great guy in person. Which makes complaining about him being a dickhead just that much more difficult.

Halloween is pretty much inexistant over here. We used to get a few kids knocking on the door for lollies and stuff ... but haven't seen that happen for a while.

I've got to go into the city on Halloween and then are going to an International Rules football game. I am so tempted to dress as Sephiroth again. It's just the best fun walking the streets dressed as Sephy ... and Halloween would be the perfect opportunity to do it.

Walking from the hotel to the bus stop dressed as Yuna in Sydney was also lots of fun. I had people asking me who I was.

I'll have to think about it.

Abe Babe...
