Star Wars - questions, pictures...

Here's a thread where you can ask questions or pictures about Star Wars. Maybe this topic makes some new SW fans.

Chewbacca came from Kashyyyk, a grassy planet with lots of kilometer-tall trees. The planet is in the Mid Rim, it's the principal world of the Kashyyyk system (this system contains the homeworld of the reptilian Trandoshans).

Is that an answer?

This is a picture or a painting of Chewie's home world of Kashyyyk. It resembels a lot like Endor the world of the Ewoks. But this world is much bigger The wookies live high in the canopy and absolutly no sunlight reaches the forest floor. The entire Planet is covered in these forest. We might actually see this world in Episode 3 since Chewie is going to be in the next film. George Lucas already has mention that the next film will relate to Episode 4 in the most surpriseing ways. So I do hope we get to visit Kashyyyk. We also might visit Alderan as well. If you want a picture of that world I have one.

Okay, here's a question for you... Why can't George Lucas make a decent Star Wars movie these days?

Well, MojoMan220, I think that the films are VERY good. What's the problem with them?

Hehe yea I got that from the official site I am also a member of their forums. I go by the name as "Dave The Hutt" on those forums. But I barely visit those forums because its just not the same like the OWF of course. Its a wierd forum I have to say. I never post there but I do have an account there. Anyway I am like a Star Wars Encyclopedea if you want to know. I know everything there is to know about Star Wars and the Galaxy and all the characters and creatures within it. I get up to date information every month through e-mail regarding the prequels and all Star Wars happenings. You can say I am a big Star Wars fan.

Anyone who doesn't like the Prequels. (Prequels such a funny word!) Does not understand the whole gist of the saga.

Lucas said that these films will be different than the original trilagy. And they are. But the cool thing about this is that in the original trilagy they talked about all these real interesting places but we never get to visit them. Now we do. So the next time you here Luke Skywalker say that he is stuck in a rather dimly lit cornor of the Galaxy you will know what he is talking about because we already have visited those places. he really is stuck in a dim cornor of the galaxy. I mean we get to visit the center of the Galaxy and the Senate and the Republic and we get see very intresting creatures and characters that were not introduced in the Original trilagy. They were mentioned but now we get to see it. We get to see the Clone Wars unfold in front of our very eyes and all the things that were mentioned in the original trilagy is takeing place now in the prequels. All Lucas is doing is finnishing his story that he began back in 1975. There is not going to be an Episode 7,8, and 9 because Lucas never wrote them. He said so himself. So Episode 3 is what the whole entire Saga centers around the fall of the old Republic and the rise of the evil Empire and of course Anakens eventual fall to the darkside.

So I'm not the only one here.
I'm the member of the Hungarian Star Wars page ( www.starwars.hu ) , and there's a letter about the news of Star Wars every Saturday. I never delete those!

Currently, I'm drawing a SW comic, just for fun. Don't ask me to put it here, it's not so good, and it's not the original Ep. IV. , because I put a little humour in it. I got this idea from starwars.hu too. They have better pictures.

Well, I can only guess. I think we will see it in Ep. III. I suppose he will take revenge on those who are responsible for his father's death. Then, he will join Jabba's court, that's sure.

Any ideas, paramiteabe?

The acting and dialouge are laughable and story has gone downhill since Episode 1. It has snazzy visuals, but there really isn't much depth.

What I know is that the reason Fett becomes a Bounty Hunter is because of the Jedi. Now we know why because it was the Jedi who killed his father as seen in Episode 2. Your most likely right Dripik. Thats the main story around Boba Fett. He seeks revenge by helping Vader hunt down and destroy the Jedi Knights and joins Jabba's Court. Now I bet Fett doesn't know that Vader at one point was a Jedi as Anakin Skywalker. There he sees a great oppertunity to become the most ruthless bounty hunter of the galaxy. Now isn't it interesting how the whole Saga is comming together after thirty five years. We are seeing how it all fits together.

And here is another interesting thing. You know that lock of hair thats on Boba Fetts armor? Well thats Wookie Hair and I read that Boba Fett killed a Wookie Family and kept the lock of hair. Maybe that Wookie hair belongs to Chewbacca's family. That would be a cool way to introduce Chewbacca in the next film. But only Lucas knows.

Its true, the films are still good for film standards, but the depth has gone down. Not to say its not interesting to learn all the connections.

Well, the Classic Trilogy is better than the prequel, I think. The battle on Hoth is my favourite.

Because originally when he wrote Episode 4 it was going to be Episode 1 at the time but he changed his mind and he liked the story he had. He knew about 1,2,and 3 but he was limited to what he can do film wise. Now he has the capasity to pull off 1, 2, and 3 where as before he couldn't have done so. Or better yet he diden't want to do it until he had the money. Film making back then was extremely tedious and expensive and long. A project like the Prequels would have been too much for him at the time. Or next to impossible with the specific charecters and shots he wanted in the Prequels. It would have been too hard to make Mocketts and Minatures for the Prequels.

Here is a Picture of the surface of Alderan that planet which was destroyd in Episode 4 by the Death Star. This is the capital city of Aldera. The planet itself is covered in grasslands and small inland seas. Its a very interesting World. This is the place where Lea Organa grows up The leader of the Rebellion. This too is a conceptual painting that was made by artist Ralph McQuarrie. He did this during the original trilagy.

Lucas wrote the whole Classic Trilogy at first, but it was too long, so he cut it into 3 stories. When these episodes were finished, he thought that Vader is a very interesting character, so he started to explain his life in Ep. I., II., and III., I think. And the life of the other characters, like Obi-van Kenobi, Yoda, Palpatine etc.

Both trilogies are very good and both have their high points. i basically like the new ones because the battle seens seem so much more modernized, but i like the old ones story and i love the bounty hunters in the older ones, u only see Jango and Zam in the new episodes. Who are your guys fav bounty hunters? i really like IG-88.

Ok i'v got a question Drippy..............

If the original trilogy is set after the ones being made now, then how come they use blokes in plastic suits while in the ones set earlier they use robots??
Because if they had the technology they'd save thousands on wages.

Well, my favourite bounty hunter is Greedo. Too bad that Han Solo shot him in Ep. IV.

Greedo, the Rodian bounty hunter

I don't get the question, hobo. You mean that in the Classic Trilogy they used robots in the creatures, and in the prequel they used actors in suits, like the Gungans?

Well, they spent a lot of time together, so Han can understand what Chewbacca says. For example, if you have a dog, you can understand what it says after a couple of years, can't you?
