Its a boring life

Lately I've been noticing a severe lack of entusiasm towards anything, and I'm constantly becoming bored. Anyone thats befriended me seems to have strict parents, therefore meaning I can't "hang out". I used to like going outside, but at our new house the part of our yard not dominated by our pool is to small, and usually shady. I don't know any of the few kids in my neighborhood, which sucks. I've read every book in the house I can find interest in, and hate writing. And video games and computer are old (and have also corrupted my interest in hobbies). So whats there for me to do? If I can't hang with friends, can't enjoy myself outside or entertain myself, whats there for a 13 year old kid to do?

I hate to stoop down to asking for advice over the internet, but does anybody have any ideas on how to get a "life"? What do you all do to keep interest in your lives?

Aren't my constant animal sounds and frequent fits of ultra extreme happiness (also known as gone mad disease) on MSN not doing what they used to?

You could always bribe my parents into letting me fly over and live with you. We could have ALL kinds of fun.

Or I could let you mess around in the OWF Admin CP, that's loads of fun, j/k.

But I recommend you sleep. Sleep for hours on end, and who knows maybe you'll wake up and you'll be 21. Then, you can legally drink and drive! But until then you'll have to put up with my animal sounds.

But poor, poor Majic, he's all alone. How about you go on a shooting spree? I've seen it on T.V. a lot, and then you would go somewhere where you would always have people do be with. And stylish orange overalls!

I know what you said was intended as a joke (hopefully ) but what I meant was, he was able to drink, as well as drive legally.

They were intended as seperate things, there's no way I'd encourage "drink driving", because yes it is very dangerous.

Thank you Alcar. The nice list! That just put an up to my night. And yes I have been on the forums for just over one month with Christmas being one month exactly. And I have found everybody to be very nice but you are actually the first to welcome me, as when I came in I did not shout out I was new and no one even noticed. But I was welcomed in Oddchat so that was nice.

I drink, ring people up, txt people, make prank phone calls, go out and shop, window shop and sleep...

You can also try introducing yourself to people, like i do...i have a very strange way of doing it though. Also, if your pissed and they're pissed a good way to bond is to allow them to kiss your hand...always worked with me.

Well, Majic, you could always get a girlfriend/boyfriend/significant other. I've found that having one encourages me to actually get outdoors (well, the mall and the movie theater at least) and hang out with friends. Just make sure you don't get one that feels the need to be around you every five minutes... God, that was the worst advise I've ever given.

Or if that doesn't work, just try something new! Think of one of the last things you would ever want to do, and try it. Think of some new hobbies you may have not considered before.

And if that doesn't work... there's always alcohol.

As for me, all I've been doing since Xmas is playing X-Box Live. I had a friend come over yesterday and when played it for like 5 hours... I've been drawing a little, too. First comic strip, here I come!

Getting a girlfriend would make that a bit easier.

Go buy a nice sketch book, find a favorite place, and spend atleast 3 hours a week there, drawing what you see. Even if you're terrible at drawing.

Experiment with drugs and alcohol. You're a bit young, but I got started at your age...and I'm actually pretty successful these days.

Start mixing in with 'the bad crowd' of kids in your town. I'm a part of a 'bad crowd' and we have loads of fun. Hope you're ready to break some laws!

Go to parties, and meet new people.

Drop your inhibitions, and do everything on the spur of the moment. Never hesitate, or think about what you're doing...just do it. That's what I do, and my life is rarely dull.

You could always try to get a new obsession, thats a good way to spend your time. Take up a new hobby, or make friends....

Well I would say go take a personal vacation for yourself. But since your not in your 20's that probabaly won't happen. Don't quote me on that though. I don't know what you do for fun or how outragieously you live on the edge of doing stuff.

If not that just sleep or go to a movie or just get awey. I alweys find getting awey to someplace on my own can releave a lot of stress and is rather nice when it comes to a movie. But make sure you do things solo because it will just get boreing waiting for someone to see if they could go and then finding out everyone has something to do. ya know? Im not saying abanding your friends all Im saying is just get awey for a few hours on your own and you will be better.

Sometimes exploreing around town helps. I find like stores I like never seen before and are pretty cool. I don't know. All I am saying is just do things solo for a few hours and you should be alright.

I wish I could drive.

I've come up with gardening as a nice slution. When Spring comes I can just sit outside for an hour each day and garden.... And I'm going to staart taking a walk everyday. We have a nice greenbelt next to our neighborhood, which has a 1 mile walking path through it.

Models is another hobby that seems interesting to me for some reason. I used to be into model painting and stuff, and still have some old, kinda simple unfinished stuff.

if you like models, I recomend gundams. Fun, yet challenging. and extremely rewarding. My master grade gundam took me about 4 days to complete, and I worked on it about 4 hours a day.

Like PA said try and do some solo stuff. I do that sometimes, however i get bored and end up ringing people on my mobile and chatting away and bitching and ignoring the people whom listen in on my convo and then give me dirty looks...bastards.

That or you could sign up for skydiving, fly to the heart of Africa, jump out of the plane, land, make a shelter out of your parachute and live with monkeys for six years untill you finally get rescued!!

I know they have several different show variations...G Gundam is what comes on cartoon network, but they had mobile suit, endless waltz....
