Classic video games

Hello everyone. Before all the wonderful consoles such as the PS2, Xbox, or even the PSOne, there were consoles like the SNES, MegaDrive and even the old Mastersystem. Okay so everyone probably knows that. But what were your favorite games on these old systems.

Mine were the original Mario series (probably Mario 3 [NES] and Yoshi's Island [SNES] were my favorites). I also liked the old Zelda games [NES and SNES]. And of course the original Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy Mystic Quest.

Here's my favorites for each of the systems we used to have (well a Commodore 64 was pretty much a gaming system).

SNES - Solstice
NES - Equinox
C64 - Head over Heels

The Solstice and Equinox games were actually part of a series. The were bought out by Sony before they went into the console market themselves. It's just a pity they never bought out any more on the PlayStation. The only game I've been able to find recently which is the same style as all these old "exploring" type games I used to love is Vagrant Story by Squaresoft. If anyone knows of any similar games (not 1st person), let me know!
