that buddy might help abe in one of the games coming up in the quintology, so then he would be counted as a sidekick of some kind.

Buddy - a 500lb Almanac who can't read or draw proper maps? Why? Abe has called for an intervention to get Buddy his job at Oddworld.com back, but I doubt Buddy would be able to help Abe.
