How did Glukkons Gain Control of Oddworld???

Well my theory is Mind Control

Why may you ask? Because I seem to have come across a few Gaps. You see, Glukkons were Native along with Mudokons and other creature’s, right. And when they saw the Moon with a Mudokon handprint in it they went underground because they didn't want to believe that the Mudokons were the rightful owners of Oddworld. Or something along those lines.

Now from the time the Glukkons went underground to the time we see them in Abe's Oddysee, How did they gain that much power??? You see if they were native then it means that they are from a world that wasn't industrialized. So how did they go from Native to Rulers???

You see if it were the Vykkers, it would make sense. Vykkers have brains, but more importantly, Arms and Legs. Yes, Glukkons have Arms and Legs, but they can only use their Arms for walking on, and their legs are as useless as a T-Rex's arms. Now a Race that can only survive by using their Arms to walk on, can't en-slave people can they. You need something to walk on and something else to hold the whip (so to speak)

Now with this in mind, how did they gain control? Sligs couldn't help them in that stage because there was no one who could build them Pants. And Vykkers wouldn't help them because unlike Sligs, they aren’t Stupid. And if Vykkers did want to help, then sooner or later they would have figured out that they were better than Glukkons. And remember, Moolar wouldn't of even been around because they still just Native. And without any Moolar, there were no Product to sell them for their services.

Now with all of that information, it leaves me with one way of them gaining control. Mind Control. You see if the Glukkons could control say Mudokons or Vykkers then they could build Sligs Pants. And for exchange for them they would work for them. And so on. You see, it's no doubt that Glukkons are Smart, but with useless limbs, they were useless themselves. But by even having even one Glukkon like Abe, who could control other creatures, The Glukkons could have started an Industrialization of Oddworld.

So if anyone could explain why the Glukkons got to rule Oddworld, I would be pleased, but for the time being, there is a major gap. And Mind Control is the only thing I can think of.

As weak, lazy and incompetent as the Glukkons may seem, it is still possible for them to take over. The Glukkons may be foolish, but they aren't necessarily stupid. You saw the way they tricked the Mudokons into drinking Soulstorm Brew. Perhaps the Glukkons developed the concept of business on Oddworld and began to use Moolah. Once the system was accepted by Vykkers, sligs and the other industrial species, the Glukkons used their advanced knowledge of merchandising that they developed to gain an advantage over the other species. It's like America...How many electronics and cutting edge technologies are developed in America? Not many. Big name companies are usually from Japan of Germany or somewhere else- Mitsubishi, Volkswagen, Mercedes, to name a few-It's America's superior marketing that have kept America's economy running strong. Also think of apartheid in South Africa (I'm getting to a point here. Sorry for the history lesson) The weaker minority controlled the larger minority with money. All it would have taken is for a smart Glukkon to come up with an innovative idea and profit from it. Then he can get moolah, pay Vykkers to create products and weapons for him, pay sligs to serve as security and use the superior weaponry to take Mudokons prisoner. Mind control isn't necessary as long as Glukkons are the ones with the moolah. Remember also that Mudokons don't use moolah but Sligs and Vykkers do, so the Glukkons have influence over them.

What major gap? I don't know of any concerning the glukkons gaining power. You must be confused about something. Think about everything we know and how many years between the Alchemy Age and the current "Industrial Age". Lots of time for the glukkons to create factories while the naive mudokons played with nature and spirits. Also remember my race, the mysterious khanzumerz. If the glukkons make all their products for the us creeps than we must've done something for or to them in the past.

Ahh, yes...I forgot all about those Khanzumerz. We've never seen them but we know they're there. They keep those Gluks in business and in power. Good point Khanzumerz.

I will first use a metophor. how did we humans reach the top of the food chain. well lets look at our history. as we can see we have used our brains to gain success, our brains have only devloped in a certain way because of our body size, thus our brain thinks differently when it comes to survival much differently to that of micro scopic organisms. In my opinion Glukkons are very intelligent. it is a known fact that they are able to influence the weak minded and build a bussines relationship with other intelligent creatures. By being aggressive Glukkons have over come many obstacles. i would guess that the moolah system was developed by the Khanzumers. the glukkons were ethier chosen to have a good slat of moolah or they used there intelligence to gain it. It could be very possible that glukkons have been brain washed by moolah, wich may have resulted in less intelligent Glukkons in the last few Decades. but with moolah and the Khanzumers forcing the products Glukkons have learned to gain power in order to sustain there lives.
it is safe to say that the Glukkons are intelligent enough to play there cards right. thus not putting them in the top of the food chain but making them the sustainers of the primary consumers the Khanzumers.
