a sound!

You know when you play AO and when you beat the game and you watch the credits with the concept art. In the calm music you here this wierd noise that sounds sort of like a fleech makeing that chirping noise. You here that chirping noise more in the AE credits too. What is that? Could it be a fleech or something else. Its kind of a creepy and wierd sound. You can also here it in the beginning when Abe pops his smileing mug on the screen. Listen to the music in the background you here that same sound. I like it I think its a cool sound.

Yes i do recall that sort of chirping sound. Im not sure what it is but it sound cool.

well It's a mix of scrab and paramites so I will say a normal sound of shrykull while he is not screeming

that may be correct now that i think of it, it does sound like the sound paramites make.

But if you listen closely for a while in the AE credits it's sound sort of like a fleech. There is like a little pattern. Its a couple of short chirps followed by a long one. Maybe it could be all three. Could you imagine ME with that noise in the back ground? That would be so cool. I think it is something of the catagory of a low lifeform like a fleech or maybe even a slurg or something we have never even seen before which I hope it is.

Ahhh, yes I remember this sound well and I love it! Personally I don't know what it is, but who cares its awsome! *Plays AO and sits at starting screen for an hour laughing with joy whenever the sound comes up.*

I agree with you on this one ill step out of this thread and let anyone else who wants to discust the sound going and do it.

Maybe we are turning crazy lets make up another thread but what?

The whole reason I put this strange topic in is because I am a little cureous on what it is. I don't really think it would be Shrykull because of the fact that Shrykull is a spirt or a god in which Abe can only become. I don't think there are wild Shrykulls running around Oddworld. And yea it does sound like a Paramite but sometimes it sounds like something totally different to me that is why I said fleech. There are times I think it could be a fleech. heck you never know it could be a meech. Now won't that be something. Sure they maybe extinct but do we know for sure?

Ok i figured out the problem > FORTUNECITY
they wont alow wav down loads.

So i changed the extension to jpg. Now you have to richt klik on it and choos to download it. When you have down loaded it you change the extension back to wav and then you can listen to the sounds.

Damn fortune city


PS if you dont see extensions on your pc you can go to

extra> folder options (or something like that) > the middle tab leaf that sais something in the area of diplay type> decross the box that sais hide extensons for known file types. Then you see the extensions of your files and you can change them

They don't work because they have .jpg extensions, and that file extension is for images. Sound files need to have either a .wav or a .mp3 extension.

I downloaded the files as .jpeg
I tried .wav and .mp3 but it doesn't work.
What I am supposed to do ?

Kleeng; as Xavier said, you could put the .wavs in a .zip file and post it as an attachment. Or you could send them to me (acherontan_annarchy@yahoo.co.uk) and I'll host them on my webspace.
