Are Sligs cold blooded?

Hey don't ask me why but i just was wondering if Sligs are cold blooded or not. I say that we are cause we arriginated from swamps and are slightly reptilian so go vote what you think we are. We Sligs still don't know everything about ourselves but nether do you so shut yer pie hole!!! Hey sligster a little help here would be nice!

I'd think they were warm blooded. Come to think of it, though, I've asolutely no idea what makes blood 'warm' or 'cold'. I'll have to investigate further and come up with a revised answer.

I believe they are warm blooded, because even though they are lazy, they wouldn't be able to move if they stayed in such (seemingly) cold places (rupture farms ect) for as long of periods of times as they seem to.

Max, warm-blooded (endothermic) creatures are defined as having a constant body temperature, no matter what the temperature of the surroundings is. If their body temperature drops or rises a few degrees they die. To maintain a constant temperature, they need to ingest larger amounts of energy than cold-blooded (exothermic) creatures, who get a lot of their energy from external heat. Lions, for example, eat 10 times more food than crocodiles.

Exothermic creatures are the same temperature as their suroundings and their temperatures can rise or fall many degrees above its normal one without harming the animal (at a temperature cold enough to kill a human, a lot of lizards would merely be lethargic).

Personally, I think Sligs are endothermic. Cold-blooded creatures are in general less intelligent, so I think civilised creatures such as the Sligs would have to be warm blooded.

And Oddling, are you aware you can set fewer than 4 post options, instead of filling the surplus ones up with garbage?

Forgive me Anna, but I think you mean ectotherm when you're talking about cold-blooded creatures, as opposed to exotherm.

I would have to say that Sligs are warm-blooded, as some Sligs are in the Stockyards and my guess is that it gets pretty cold there at night but other Sligs are in Rupture Farms and I would figure that some areas there are extreemly warm with all the mechinery.

When sligs lived in swamps they were indeed cold-blooded. But scince the Glukkuns took them in they have evolved to be warm-blooded.

I think Sligs may be cold blooded because they originated from swamps and are reptillian like you all said before. However, I think that they survive the colder temperatures by a built-in heater system in their pants that they can adjust depending on where they are.

At least that's my theory.

maybe it's an other system that we dunno on eart, because there are 2 good arguments:

cold blooded: they come from swamps
warm blooded: they live in places with much temperature difference

Also, If they did have heaters attached to their pants then it would explain why they're always sleeping when the are pantless. Because they're definitely cold blooded.

it's possible...
but the gas motor on they back can also a source of temperature, and it would mean: they must walk to get get it hot to not fall asleep. so it can explain the sligs who are sleeping with pant and without pants (the same for the helicos)

What about the crawling sligs in AE? They weren't asleep.

when they are awake, they just run a bit to search some pants but they are allways near some sleep bags.

I think they are warm blooded because they spend all night in the cold walking back and forward shooting anything that moves.

I believe that Sligs are warm blooded because of there ability to be active in dark places without having to go out and sun bath like most cold blooded reptiles do. and though sligs have the uncany reputation of being lazy it still does not get in the way of being warm blooded. Another sign you would look for endurence if they are able to restore energy using body heat, or the ability of controling thier body temp. all of this seems to be present in a slig. Wich brings to my conclusion that sligs are warm blooded

I changed my mind. I think we're warm blooded, and hey i didn't vote yet!!!! I voted for warm blooded, good thing I forgot to vote when i wrote the topic. Hey me Abe and Alf just did an experiment. I took off my pants(When they weren't looking you nut head!) went in the fridge, and I'm not dead yet!!!! Sure my teeth are chattering and I just turned blue but I'm not dead! hahahahahah!!!!! Okay just in case your wondering about the cold blooded-warm blooded thing, they did get help from the vykkers. The vykkers inject a liquid into Skilla through her blood stream which makes every slig thats born warm blooded. Does that clear up a few things up for you?

Oddling, that is absolutely hilarious. So you're a slig too? I wonder how many of us are sligs.

I chose warm blooded because (don't laugh!) it seems like only warm hearts could have warm feelings. Sligs are born as loving creatures! But getting raised by the Cartel doesn't exactly foster the best behavior skills, does it?! I think if your held a slig's hand it would be warm.

So when they have been sleeping in one place a long time it makes a warm spot right? That's cute. A sliggy warm spot. awww.

Sliggy warm spot? The only time I had those was when I had too much to drink before I went to bed! Anyway you are absoloutly right tybie_odd. We do seem mean but when we get the chance we are really nice! Like last week after Abe got out of the shower a Scrab ran off with his pants. He told me not to shoot it so I tried to kill it with my bare hands. Didn't work very good at all. It got a nice slash across my face, had me pinned and was about to rip my guts out, when Abe came and threw a rock at it then climbed in a tree and possesd it then took it to some other place. And no Abe did not save me without his pants on, turns out that they fell on the ground and got stuck under the little foot mat thingy so what the Scrab had all along was just a bag of Paramite Pies it must have found under Big Faces bed. He dosn't want anyone to know so he gets them shipped during the night and hides them in secret spots. And yes Sligster Abe hates Paramite Pies but as you remember in the beggining of Abe's Oddysee he looks at the Paramite Pie advertisment and stops for a second and rubs his stomach. So he did like them and we met eachother somewhere in the end of the stockyards so actually he ate it while he was still at Rupture Farms. If you would to see it know..... ummmm I don't know where ALL of it is but....... the ummm... unwanted part is somewhere still in the sewage pipes at Rupture Farms probably. If you get what I meen.
