Dead What is your Poison?

What poisons do people here take? Any guilty pleasures you indulge in? Some substances are more harmful than others, but all our days are numbered.

1. Coffee
I drink a lot of coffee. Usually the brand I drink is Moccona:

2. Alcohol
I don't drink all that much, but when I do it's usually some kind of beer. Crown lager is quite nice. I also like those vodka/fruit drinks.

3. Tobacco
I smoke Marlboro Lights, they're all-white, lowered-tar cigarettes (they have a white filter).

4. Marijuana
Occasional. I don't really do it much anymore. It shouldn't be illegal.

Mine is probably drinking, but I don't drink that often only at party's, i don't drink coffee because i'm up all night even if i have it in the morning. My diet is pretty bad, all it consists of is take away food or junk food, but it is slowly changing and we just brought a new gym set.

Sid you should really quit smoking cigarettes, can you imagine how ****ed your lungs are going to be by the time you hit the age of 30? I'd say the same thing about marijuana but that would just start WW3 with Dan.

I drink...and when i do i drink faaaar too much. I never drink Lager or Beer cos that stuff is just viiiile. And also can make you impotent for a short amount of time. I mainly drink Alkopops, Vodka and other real sweet stuff thats classed as 'Girlie Drinks' or 'Puff Drinks' ahhh well.

I also smoke quite abit now (Im not addicted, i just smoke in social occasions). I actually had 20 cigs in one night on the night of the Prom and 2 Cigars...it was quite worrying, but thankfully i didn't get addicted and ive tried cigs and cigars since the prom and i dont get addicted...ive been off them now for 2 weeks...which is a good sign since i dont wanna get Cancer. By the by Surf, Marijuana doesn't contain nicotine.

I drink coffee (Kenco is my preference), but I don't see why that should be a guilty pleasure; it doesn't harm you at all. Caffeine does dehydrate you a little, but that's easily remedied.

I don't smoke, drink or do drugs.

While I actively take no poisons myself, I have had to live with a smoker for the last 14 years (that's 100% of my life, by the way), and it mings. All my clothes smell of smoke and I've developed what I've been told is a smoker's cough. I haven't noticed these things, since I've grown up with them. Oh, and I've got yellow fingertips, which is totally rank.

I expect GimmeCoffee drinks quite a bit of caffeine.

Coffee. I admit it, I've been drinking coffee for a year. Gevalia or Löfbergs Lila. The rest is no. A big, neat, red yelling no. Well, I have smokers all around me but I don't think that counts...

I'm a huge coffee fan myself. Hot, chilled, any kind of coffee. I also drink alcohol every now and then, but never in excess.

I suppose one could consider meat a poison. Lately, I've been feeling more and more guilty about eating animals, but I still eat meat...

Heh... When I saw this topic I thought of a TV show I saw today, where a woman went to a mini bar and asked a man: "What's your poison?" and the man: "You've got any?"

Anyway... I don't drink coffee at all, because it tastes terrible and I rarely drink tea. If I do, I buy it from the Fair Trade Shop. I usually just drink hot water with honey. *yam*

I don't smoke or use drugs, but I do drink alcohol. I love cider (especially pear and my brand is Kopparberg's or Golden Cap), Bailey's, coffee liqueur, other liqueurs...and of course Salmiakki Koskenkorva. *yam* You poor foreigners who don't understand the pleasures of salmiakki... My favourite drink could be Blue Angel.

I don't know how harmful they are, but if we're talking about addictions... I'm crazy for Chuba Chubs lolly pops and Tic Tac Oranges... *drools*

Cola. Nothing but cola. My favorite brand is RC (Royal Crown). It's got less acid than Coca Cola, and it's not as smooth as Pepsi. I love it! I don't drink much else. I really should drink more milk...

Next poison. My family goes to fast food restaraunts a lot. We mainly go through Drive Thrus because we're always late for something. I should really start watching what I eat.

Did you know that red wine is actually good for your heart. I would drink wine over beer anyday just because it is better for you. My brother used to brew his own wine in my basement. The trick to makeing good wine is time. The older the wine the better it is. Like if you were to find wine in an old barrel that dates back to the 1700's then drink it because it would taste really rich and good. It would be the best wine you ever drank in your entire life. Even better if you found wine that dates back to ancient times like the time of Christ, that wine would be the ultimate wine. I believe something like this in National Geographic where they found ancient wine under the sea in a barrel on a ship wreak. They taisted the wine and to their surprise it extrodinarly good. I believe it dated back to the time of Christ. That is so interesting.

Morgan, I know what you mean about RC cola...that stuff is great!

I guess I am also addicted to milk...I'm the only one in the house who drinks it, and we go shopping every saturday...and every saturday, we buy 8.5 gallons...all for me. Non fat of course, but still...I looooooove my milk!

Yes, I did. But I hate wines! Eww... But I wouldn't drink beer either. I think it ages back to the days when I was about 5 and accidentally drank beer and I was really thraumatized.

I've just got to have a cup of coffee first thing in the morning. I don't usually drink it after noon. I used to bum out at all the negative press about caffeine, but so often a negative story would be closely followed by a news item that caffeine was neutral or even good for you in certain ways, so I stopped worrying about it. It seems like a fairly benign drug, as they go.

I drink it black and without sugar. I appreciate good coffee, but I just buy whatever's cheap.

My true love is beer. Real beer. Dark, full-bodied, and full of flavor. Not the bubble-soda that Coors and Budweiser (and most other American mass producers) try to pass off as beer. Have you ever poured a Budweiser in a glass? It has almost no color whatsoever, which closely matches its flavor.

I used to buy cheap crap beer that made Budweiser sound good, but I decided that life is too short to drink that stuff. My favorite is Samuel Adams Boston Lager, but it's pretty expensive, so I usually settle for Molson Golden (Canadian). Other favorites are Beck's (German), St. Pauli Girl (German, I think), and Bass Ale (English). I love going to a local brewhouse that makes its own beer on the premises and trying each kind on the menu.

I would give up coffee if I had to to keep my beer.

Hm, orange juice... Topicana, calcium, no pulp... And Dr. Pepper. This summer I want to see how long I can stay up on Dr. Pepper...
But anyways, I don't really like anything else. Milk and water are fine, and I used to drink RC. Then Sam's stopped selling it or something. The blurb was like "Freeedom, to chose the best tasting cola...". I forgot the rest But I try to avoid lots of caffeine. My brother got addicted to Mt. Dew. He drank like 3 lieters a day. Not to mention he threw the empty bottles in my room. Then about a week later, he didn't drink any one day and he had headaches. Then he literaly passed out around 10. My grandpa also says that if he doesn't have coffe in the morning he can't do anything all day... I find that scary. But I find cofe disgusting. ANd alchoholic stuff, I don't like. I drank some beer also when I was 5. I threw up on the remote control, and my dad got mad. Then I usualy gag when I'm by a smoker... Other drugs, lets just say I have friends that would like me enough to turn me in, and even when I'm over 18 they would still tell my parents or something, then I get disowned pretty much because I'm expected to be perfect. Not much else anyways, but yick, I still think about the beer... I don't remember what kind it was, but it sucked. Very bitter..

I don't drink coffe or smoke anything. I drink beer, mostly just in social occasions. I am addicted to these Lollie pops with the bubble gum in them and Zappos; I love them.

You know, if you went to my school with some smokes you could get alot of money for them. Some kids came up to me and my friends the other day and asked for a smoke and said they would give me 5 dollars for it. They were only in year 8, I asked them. People who scab for money, I hate them too. Bloody drop kicks...

I don't drink coffee, because I used to hate the taste of the stuff. I work in a café now, though, and I've discovered that I love the smell of coffee beans being ground... So now I no longer hate coffee, but I still haven't got around to actually drinking it... I think the problem is the heat - I don't like drinking things that are really hot. I don't drink tea much, either. The only hot drinks I can drink are ones that still taste okay when they've cooled down, like hot chocolate and soups. Cold Coffee or Tea, though, tastes foul...

I drink alcohol quite a lot. Not excessively, just Socially. I used to get drunk quite often, but I haven't been so much since I started seeing Sandy. She has a great sobering effect on me. I seem to hold my alcohol a lot better when she's around... Monday was the first night I got really drunk in quite a while, and that was because Sandy wasn't there...

I don't smoke Tobacco, and I've never tried. Filthy habit.

As I'm sure you are all aware, I do smoke Cannabis on a semi-regular basis (IE two or three times a month, or thereabouts), but I'm not a big smoker. I've been abstaining through my exam period, anyway...

Actually, Dave, we usually buy it in 24 packs. I can't remember the last time we bought a bottle. But anyway, I think the 24 packs cost about 2.50 each, compared to Mountain Dew which sells for about 4.25 for a 24 pack, so it's still pretty cheap.

Indeed. Have you ever tried Jolt cola? I like that stuff too, on occasion. It's a bit too syrupy [like coke] for my taste, but when I need a good buzz, I reach for a jolt...usually a jolt 'cherry bomb'..good stuff. I NEED a 24 pack of RC..ship one my way please.
