Abe, Munchs sidekick?

I read some reviews and it said abe was munchs sidekick thats not right Abe is the man

It doesnt seem right though... Abe is a freakin' half GOD and what is Munch? A frog thing with a light bulb in his head. I could never accept him as the new hero. It seems like hes the guy Abe should be constantly saving, not Abes master...

This is now Munch's story but neither of our main characters is the bitch of the other. They are now friends (by fate) and have to help eachother...

Squeek is the next character of the Quintology, just as Nod will be after him and so fourth. In the end their will be five heros all togther working together. They will team up and destroy heart of the Industrial facilatys on Mudos.

Unless they break up the characters events individualy instead of working together on one stage I think it's going to be stupid and tedious controlling 5 characters at once.

Actually. controling 4 or 5 characters at once will enhance the strategic level of the game by many orders of magnitude.

Do you know Comandos? it's a WW2 games where you have to control a bunch of spies, each one having his own features, to solve tactical and strategical puzzles, involving a lot of stealth and brains. Hiden & Dangerous, another game, also has a simmilar feature.

But having so many characters seems like to much for me and by that time maybe (dare I say this) Abe might be getting a little old (gameplay wise). I'm all for continuity and reoccuring characters but when you grow up you learn sometimes it's better for things to change to keep them fresh.

Maybe Squeek will be by himself like Abe was. Or a personal favorite idea would be to have Abe come back each game and still only have two characters (because Abe is very versatile gameplay wise and is humanoid so we can relate). Or have the previous character come back so it would be Squeek and Munch. Whatever.

i htink controlling 5 characters will cool if a bit confusing and difficult. also nobody is anybodies sidekick each new character simply takes a leading role and then steps down.

I don't know about you guys, but when I played MO, it seemed like I played as Abe something like twice as much as I played as Munch. Did anyone else do this?

Also, I think it will be fun to play as five characters at once. Maybe they will have it split up where you do some missions with them all, and some with 1 or 2 of them.

It seem's Abe is getting all the creadit when it should be Munch. Hence Munch's Oddessy. Yea Abe is awesome but he should have a lesser role in Munch.

does someone playd stupid invaders? Can be the same: each hero do 1 thing and then they accompliche a mission alltogether, each one (or 2) are playable in one part of the game but they don't are in group all the time .

I also felt I was playing Abe more. However, when Munch was in his wheelchair, I felt he was a better character to control than Abe, especially when he had the zap.

Abe of course is the Mudoken King, but he can only do so much. I doubt Abe would make it through Munch's Oddssey without Munch, don't you?


As for the 5 characters, why not lead 2 on one adventure and get to a certain point, then switch over to another set of characters? Simultanious and real-time in a way.. the others could be completing their task while you are as well. I think another game has done this, but I dont know which.
Who knows, maybe that idea is stupid.

ME should have Munch with a huge role compared to Abe... After all, eventhough now Munch needs Abe to carry him around and stuff he is still a child of 18 months (although I would say thats about 10 Gabbit years)... Therefore he will be 2-3 years old or more (depending if Oddworld time is in sink with our own) when ME starts and may have biult up some mussle and speed and be more free of Abe's help. What do you think about that!?

I read this in a magazine once Lorne ha said: The Quintology is the story of Abe. As every game goes by a hero will be introduced. As each game passes Abe will get closer and closer to the city of the Magog Cartel.

Now I think he means that Munch, squeek .ect. will appear in an Oddysee game with Abe, then Maybe an Exodus on their own and the other bonus games. When we reach the fifth hero Abe will have reached the city and the Quintology will be over.

Er, hero means star of the game usually. Munch ain't a hero. He's just the star of the game.

IMO, Munch seemed more like a side-kick then the hero in MO. I mean, we get to play Abe's secret mission at the end and not Munch's. We just find him waiting their for us, lol.
