Now that was a quick update ... I was just on Xbox.com this afternoon to get the links for the Australian launch and I checked the Munch section... but there was nothing new. It must have been updated after I was there.

Now, this was a VERY interesting article ... although it's seemingly aimed towards those unfamilliar with Oddworld, we find out much that even us real fans don't know. Such as that Vykkers are decended from creatures that lived in trees, and that in the large cities of Mudos, there are Mudokons who are consumers.

Abe Babe...

Not too fast, Paramite. I'm not a Biology expert, but I'm sure someone will find a relationship between octopi and slug families.

Well, I must say that this is unexpected. Where did all that come from?!? Wow!! I would never have guessed half of this stuff. Especially Mudokon consumers. What an article. Finally, some light shed on Mudosian society, as odd as it is.

TEAL! We might have to rethink our theory on sligs!

Zig: I lived in a swamp? Oy...I prefer the trees...

well there is still the possiblity that you guys lived in the trees...

Zig: good

Well, I guess that is true. It reminds me of the theory that all animkals with a skeleton on the land (forgot the name for that!) descended from one and the same sort of fish that came out of the water to the high dry land. So that means, for example, that we are family to......

Cats
Lizards
Dogs
Horses

And any animal-with-a-skeleton-on-the-high-dry-land you can think of!

Cool Paramite...
...Infact even modern fish are desended from thoughs early lungfish. Exept they de-evolved their lungs into swimbladers used to control their boiency... But sharks on the other hand have only cartlidge for a skeleton and no swim bladder (they are dencer then water and must keep moving so that they can 'fly' through the water). So sharks must have seperated from our evolotionary path before lungfish.

I was thinking about a closer relationship... Octopi and slugs are both from the Mollusca grand division, the first is a cephalopod (limbs in their heads) and the second is a gastropod (limbs in their adbdomen).

Oh, man, this is too much. We scrutinize over the smallest details, like the direction that tentacle joints can sway, and the size and configuration of pads on hands and feet, the bowing of legs, etc, all to just have our questions answered by a quick statement from afficiodos. 'Aint modern science great?
Very, VERY cool. Hey, what if Khanzumerz are city Mudokons, ones so far removed from their tribal brothers that they don't give a ratz azz about nature and treat you like a freak? There could be the equivilant to an evil Abe, and, as all we comic book fans know, your evil double is always your greatest foe, so maybe you and he could have possession battles and stuff. I would call him Obe, but that's just me.
And I was making such good progress on my unified biology theory of Oddworld, too...

Hey, Khanzumerz as Mudokon consumers. I never thought of that. I'm sure as hell nobody else did either. am I right in assuming that? I don't think that's the case. The Khanzumerz must be a new race of creatures we haven't seen. But we had no idea about the consumer Muds either.

Augh, what a cop-out! Trees- and plains- living fits both species better (sligs; strong arms, third hand, likely prehensile tail (before they got too lazy to exercise)- ideal for climbing. Glukkons; long, powerful arms, body carried clear of the floor so it won't cause drag - ideally suited for running.) Unless that was right back in the past (like their equivalent of the dinosaur age)...

I like my theories, so I'm keeping them, and I don't care what anyone says. *hugs theories and does overprotective faces*

Besides, to echo what CP said, if you go back far enough along the evolutionary tree we're descended from fish. So there.

Abi, this statement isn't incompatible with your theories; you do get trees in swamps, don't you? Don't know what you'd do about the Glukks, though...

Deq, I am fairly sure the Khanzumerz have already been stated as a separate species. As I have already said (and consider myself backed up by this report), the point of the Khanzumerz isn't that they make up all of the Consumers in Mudos, just that all they do is consume... Which is what makes me think they are probably Mudos's Aristocracy (which would be compatible with the general left-wing morals of OWI)...

Happy Khanzumer = Consumer!

I think it's possible. Khanzumer sounds a bit like Consumer. Try it.

Say: "Khanzumer".
Then, say: "Consumer"

Sounds very similiar, not?

*sighs* CP, we already KNOW that Khanzumerz are Consumers... That is painfully obvious from when you first see the name, plus Max said so, so it must be true... Have you only just worked that out?

The part of "Khanzumerz as Mudokon Consumers" that I am disputing is not the "consumers" part, but the "mudokon" part...
