Hey i have 2 ideas for a fan game,if you dont like 1st then i will say the second.1st,im a good slig to mudokon audio maker i need one thats good enough with the game maker and the rest can choose audio or making slig or mudokon sprites + this could be a strategy game based at two tribes,slig native tribe(like normal sligs but no guns)and a mudokon tribe,it will be based on harvesting trees,and building structures(mostly houses,slig house is tent,and mudokon will be tree house).And mining iron for making tools and weapons,sligs have pick axes for mining and wood axes for cutting,and weapons spears and short ranged machine guns,gifted from the glukkon cartel,mudokons will have stone axes and spears,for it should be a tool or weapon shack... anyone for making,please pm me.And i forgot to say,there should be gathering canes for mudokons so that they can hather food easly and bring it to the main hq,and as for sligs they have gathering huts for killing wild creatures as Meeches and elums,muds can use breeding grounds where they can group more and mora animals for a mounted fleet,as for sligs have buildng slog grounds where they train slogs(they are automatic slogs,no need to gather).

if you want people to reply give people something to work with. theres no point asking other people to do all the work. it your project so you should do most of the work. i'm a fan-game designer/maker.you have to make the scripting.people would only help with things such as minor spriting,sounds and audio,but theyll only go so far without being paid

You can consider yourself lucky you even got a reply.

Very few people will want to make sprites and such for you. Fewer will make audio for you. Nobody will program a game freely. Do that bit yourself. If you can't then you can't make this game happen.

You can't sell this game. OI owns the rights to any thing Oddworld realated. In short it's copyrighted.

On the other hand, who would even want to pay for a gamemaker game?

here's a few tips for when decide to give this another go.
1. use good spelling and grammar.
2. learn to program yourself.
3. give your game more thought, plan it out. Don't plan it out as you go along or game production will just fail.

numero uno) You cannot sell the game for cash unless you wish to be sewed so you cannot pay your team.

numero dos) Is the game an RTS like Age of Empires because I do like the sound of an oddworld RTS it's a very good idea.

3 (i gave up the spanish) Are you atually going to pay your mod team because no one likes to do coding.

4) You have to show 100% commitment t oyour game and work on it everyday.

5) Unless you can show good managerial skills (providing you get a modding team together) your skills will be of know use, can u get a sprite maker, a coding and script creator, background maker, developer and a testing crowd?

6) I found out very early on in my first oddworld game that I would need almost all of the above so...I quit however i'm back on track and have secretly been creating Oddworld 4 New light behind everyones back! That's right folks bit of a teaser there.

7) Can you photoshop?

To end my ranting, how good will you really be at making this game.

Have you seen Alex Fili, J dude's, er oddjobabe and bobthe guy's game pages? If mine's still around see that too, you'll get an idea of hard it is to make oddworld or infact any games.

I quit early on so my page may have been deleted, but try to foind it lol. =D

No it isn't, games usually fail because of lack of planning or because the author has not got any free time. Also things can go wrong that will delay the game considerably.

My game involves other people, anyone is free to help with it but I give detailed information about the game, the places needed and what is required along with a demo, this is very bland, you need to include more information about the game and a demo. If your other thread is the game you require help / support with then you should have posted there instead of making a new thread.
