The diagonal stripes make it stand out.

I guess the box does it's job in portraying it's contents, but I feel like it's a bit too static Like... The design, or the art could be a bit more incorporated... Also the quality of some of the clipped pics aren't that great.

But I'd say that the communication doesn't fail in this box at all

Photoshop is just confusing. Paint is easy, and makes it all the more challenging.

Not too bad considering how much you can do with paint. It'd be awesome if there was some kind of big image in the background. The diagonal stripes are actually the best part really.

Hm... You guys need to learn the difference between each graphic editing program and what works and doesn't. Paint isn't really a photo editing software and nor is it a composition one either.
Paint works really well for pixel art because it is so simple, easy and has great short cuts... They could be better though.

But getting a program such as Photoshop is a good thing if you're planning on doing quality work. If you don't have the money or uh.... sources to get Photoshop, then I suggest getting Gimp. It's a great, free program that can do most of the thing Photoshop can too... And if you're not planning on becoming a professional photo editor, then Gimp works just fine.

It takes a month at most to learn the basics, and from then on it's all just fun and further studying

But yea... I like the diagonal lines too... I just feel that with a better program this image would have become so much better. It would also have provided better opportunities to make nice details and stuff.

Photoshop FTW. In my opinion, if you are just a regular user (you don't use most of photoshop functions and you don't make money on your photoshop art) then it's perfectly OK to crack your license :P
Photoshop isn't really hard to learn (mostly), but it will take some time to start "feel the colors".

the writing of "oddbox" is clever and the design is good, but I agree with T-nex that photoshop could have made a difference in cleaning up the edges

fan box art competition?

Shh... We don't talk about that here... x_x

But meh... Gimp is a good program too for those who like to stay clean and with the economy intact!

I use Photoshop though... Photoshop is yummy.

Meh. A big fat OWI logo with secondary text stating the titles inside would be enough.
Also, paint sucks, alot. Stop using it forever and steal PS.
