Question(Please Come Here!!!)

On the first door in the Paramonian Temple Hub do you have to save those slaves near the end of that part?

Need clarification MM. What do you mean "have to?" To get the bonus? If so, yes. As far as I know, the only Muds you don't have to rescue are those in Monsaic Awakenings (actually, there's at least one in Zulag 1 that you can get chant rings from that you don't save -- he's in a background area you can't get to). Other than that, if you see 'em, save 'em.

Doug is right, MM. You do need to be a bit more specific. But, as far as I know, you dont HAVE to rescue any mudokons to finish a level.

It's on the part with a sign that says Paramite Packaging in the background and it has 3 Mudokons there and you have to save them as far as I know.

You're right, SeaRex. And I highly recommend going for the bad ending (<50 muds rescued) -- it's a riot!

Ugghh... I thought the bad ending was more depressing than funny. All that work for nothing... The happy ending is much more of an ego boost

I know what you mean, SeaRex. I liked the good ending, too -- it was very satisfying. Also, I only saw the bad ending after being able to see all the movies for saving everyone, so it didn't feel like I'd failed.

Having said that, though, one of the things I love about computer games is being able to laugh about situations that in real life you would be going to the hospital to have limbs reattached or someone else would be scraping little parts of you off the ground. One of the things in AO that always cracked me up was the way the sligs would start laughing a microsecond after you committed some blunder that was going to kill you, even before you were dead. And I loved the part of the bad ending where the other muds were saying stuff like "he didn't do so great . . . yeah, he shot us!"

please help:

At the part where Abe and Munch have to traverse the gauntlet of sligs with guns/ and dogs. How do you get the nine slaves through without getting them all killed??? There is a teleport gate that the slaves will not follow me through, and a crane, and two vendos for expresso. What to do?

Hi, salliemae.

You should start a new topic for this question, as it's quite likely that people who could help you out won't see your question. You'll be able to title the topic, so you can mention which game you need help in.

Alas, I've only played Abe's Oddysee, so I can't help you with Munch.

Edit: Oops; just saw that you did start a new topic, and the same one in General Oddworld, too. Post game help questions in Oddworld Help, unless they contain MO spoilers; post those in the Spoiler Forum. Don't post duplicate questions in multiple forums; it makes the forum management testy.
