What would you do with a ladder in an elevator (supposing it fitted in)?
Once, maybe when I was 9 years old, I was coming home from school. I had my keys, everything was cool... Except that the lock wouldn't budge. That's the worst thing: you have the keys and you still can't get inside. And no alternative routes here, since it was a flat on the 1st floor... But in the end, after 30 minutes of struggling, I managed to open the door. Happy ending.
Returning the 'Being-Late' topic, I have a more recent adventure. A few months ago, I had an exam to take. I went over to the campus, and on the way there, I remembered that I have not checked where the exam would take place. But I wasn't worried then, I figured it would be in the Castle (one of the campus buildings), just like every other exam I had before. I arrived to the Castle at 1:30 PM; the exam started at 2:00 PM.
So I waited there for a while, but nobody else came in that direction. At 1:45 PM, it started to get wierd. I saw a few people I knew heading towards building D, so I decided to follow them. When I got there, I saw that the exam would be there... for those whose surname fell into the A-N group. Naturally, I was in the N-Z group, so I headed to building A, following the instruction of a note on the door. In building A (1:50 PM), I found the designated room empty. I went back to the reception and asked what was going on. Of course, the people there didn't know anything about the exam, so they told me to go to building E, and ask there. Since it was 1:55 PM (five minutes left 'till the exam), I ran back to the Castle and asked some others there, but they said that there would be no exam in Castle.
At that point, I decided to sneak in to the A-N group, because I found no other options. So I sprinted back to building D and up to the auditorium, where I have found out that all students would take the exam there, and the note I read at the door was left there from last time... So I made it there just in time, and I didn't even fail. Enough said.
