How I see it should be..

What I want from Oddworld Inhabitants is more games focusing on Abe.
OW games debuted with Abe and people learned to love this skinny little dude.
Why change the working formula by replacing Abe with new characters?
I'd still like to see more 2d/3d games with Abe as the star.
My heart weeps as we'll never see games like Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus again..

Like I stated before, and will most likely state in the future:

That would be like chaining OWI's creativity. They did something awesome, what tells you they can't do something else that's awesome too, that can be even better?

I personnally loved Stranger's Wrath, and that kind of game wouldn't have been possible if they restricted themself to games with Abe as main character.

Munch tells me

I too thought that Stranger was a brilliant game (And Munch, for the record) and don't think that there is any need to stick to basics. Sure, we lvoe Abe, but who'ss to say we won't love the next character?

Well somethings change persabe. BUT I'm a big fan of the Abe games and agree they should've stayed with him. But soon enough new ideas come along. =)

And then again Abe does have a movie in the works.

Because working formulas stop working when they're repeated too much.

That's why we have the word 'formulaic'.

Precisely. You wouldn't want Abe to become overused like Mario and Sonic now, would you? If all OW games were going to feature him, that'd be weird, and it'd be a shame considering his world seems so diverse.

A bit of variety is good. Munch should've really had his game to himself IMO, and Abe shouldn't of been a playable character. Perhaps instead he should've appeared as an NPC occasionally in a couple of levels or so.

Good point, but Abe IS oddworld, almost- he's been there from the beginning, and SW i feel really lacks that sense of OW, for the simple reason that there are not enough things in it OW fans recognise (i.e Mudokons, Glukkons etc)

And seeings as the only people who bought the game were OW fans anyway, it seemed a bit of a pointless venture to alienate themselves from their previously established world.

Besides, the new games/movies wouldn't have to feature abe, but it would be nice to see a familiar face every now and again. Remember, in MO, he was only a "sidekick", not the main charecter

Well.. I would, lol! To me Oddworld equals Abe. It may be sad to OW fanatics but I actually played the first two OW games for years before learning that Oddworld was more than just Abe.

As much as I love nearly everything about Abe, his welcome would have worn out over the years for Oddworld. I still personally think he's the best but c'mon. Oddworld needs more characters and more different things to focus on than just Mudokons. If they continually used him over and over again, he would become...very old. Not to mention there would probably be more changes to him. Just imagine characters they would have possibly made! Some could've been just as great as Abe. (Squeek could've been good although, obviously we can't get our hopes up for more Oddworld games since that's all gone now)
