Post Oddworld: Kico's Oddysee

Yes, I started another fanfic, but I'll still be working on my other one....This one won't be as morbid and has flashbacks in it, and a made up queen. Enjoy.

==========================================================
CHAPTER ONE: THE HYBRID

The tall old purple glukkon growled as he shifted the thick cigar from side to side in his mouth, flaking ash down his black suit that looked he had mugged it off Dripik and added more medals and badges to it. His red slightly glowing eyes glared at the door as a huge big bro stood by his side, eleven foot and eight inches high, clad in belts of ammo and some armour. He too looked darkly at the steel doors in the dark, metal and industrialized room, as a younger glukkon, a miniature version of Dripik almost, wearing a green suit he was forced to wear, stood beside the old glukkon and gazed glumly at the floor. The glukkon stayed rooted to the spot, resisting the urge to tiptoe up and down the room like he usually did when he was extremely impatient, which wasn’t rare. A rat hopped past in the windowless and dusty room, provoking the grumpy glukkon to screw up his face in disgust.

“Cecil, dispose of that vermin!” He ordered. He glared at the teenage glukkon, as if reading his mind. The younger one wouldn’t dare argue seeing his face like that, especially as that older glukkon had taken custody of him after his ‘father’ had died. Not a drone that had got lucky with the queen, but a worker class glukkon that had adopted him, to take over if anything happened to the Slig Barracks. Only problem was, his adoptive father had been killed along with those other two glukkons working with him, and Natzo ran the Slig Barracks, not him, as he was too young. He got custody of him too. He looked on in horror and squeamishness as the huge big bro who answered to Cecil lifted his huge chain gun, pointing it at the small purple rodent.

He squeezed his eyes tight shut as the big bro lifted his huge heavy gun, aiming at the creature that looked back at him with glowing green eyes. The older glukkon, Natzo, felt joy as the doors finally opened and two armoured walking sligs walked in. Cecil lost his concentration as he looked over. Snarling, he looked back at the rat as it made a leaping bound for the open doors and pulled the trigger. A loud series of bullets banged and bounced off of the walls as the two glukkons threw themselves to the floor to dodge being shot. The rat hopped out of the room and into the light like a doorway to heaven as it escaped quickly, leaving the glukkons lying flat on their faces and dodging past the armoured sligs.

Another walking slig tottered in, head held high like a girl and helped Natzo up as the teenager hopped and flipped on the floor like a fish. Smirking, the glukkon instantly returned to seriousness and looked at the slig, who poked at the floor with his metal leg. “Namanchier, get Junior Dripik off of the floor.” He ordered. Obedient, Namanchier helped the flopping glukkon up, glaring darkly as their eyes met. Natzo gave Cecil a dirty look for nearly killing him, but let it slide since he was following orders. His moody face curled into a smirk again as he looked at the two sligs that walked in, dragging someone, or something, in the dark room by the arms.

The creature wore nothing, not even a rag, and had its legs tied tight together. It had the green body of a slig, but had young mudokon legs at the base of its tail, and a mudokon ponytail. Its maskless face was a mix of mudokon and slig, tentacled and taking some shape of a mudokon head with white and black eyes that had moved higher on its head over time. It had long given up the fight, made clear by its bruises all over its naked body, a black eye and its lack of movement, letting itself be dragged by its black nailed slig arms.

The others looked on curiously at the apparent hybrid creature in silence, before Natzo broke it. He chewed at his cigar in his wide mouth, before speaking. “I see we have a mutant.” He spoke up. He laughed hoarsely, almost loosing that cigar in his mouth. “And we know what happens to mutants.” There was a sick charade of laughter in the room, left out by Junior Dripik and the terrified hybrid. His slig and mudokon mixed eyes went wide as a whine escaped his throat. “Dey git shot.” Cecil cut in. “So why are wih wastin’ our time here?” He spoke in a deep voice, made deeper by the fact he was bigger. Namanchier watched the hybrid as Natzo sighed. “Because, he’s not born a mutant, he’s fired, fired for becoming a mutant…” His head turned in the direction of two metal bins, fixed to the floor. “I’m sure you all know what to do…”

He laughed along with the other sligs as Namanchier giggled in a high pitched voice. Junior Dripik and the mutant didn’t however as they felt horror. Junior looked on in guilt and fear for the hybrid as he screamed, finally using whatever energy he had left to try and break free from the armoured slig’s grip on his arms. He kicked and shrieked as they lifted him above the bin on the left. Looking down it, he could see it wasn’t a mere bin, but some kind of transport to somewhere. It was a metal tube, a tube that was curved and smooth and was darkened out nowhere near the bottom. He shrieked as they lifted him further over the top, as he could still not see the bottom to this slide. Junior Dripik called out “Natzo! Make them stop!” Before one of the sligs froze. “Wait!” He ordered.

Silence fell in the room as the slig mudokon continued to whimper, cry, thrash and struggle. The slig on the right dragged him to Natzo, before examining his arm more closely. It had mud on it, mud stained green with crushed plants. In fact, the stains were on his chest and other arm too, making out a pattern. The slig muttered and dragged the mudokon slig across the metal floor as he walked up to Natzo.

The two bickered loudly while Namanchier leaned with his hand on his pants, looking down at the apparent mutant with Cecil. Junior Dripik looked at him too as the other armoured slig waited impatiently, tapping at the floor with the foot of his pant leg. With the argument ended, Natzo looked furious as he had lost it. “Well fine…” He snarled. “So he won’t be going to Skillya…” The mudokon slig sighed in relief, his body flopping against the hard cold floor. Cecil grunted as he looked at the bins, the left that led to Skillya’s Lair. A growl and a deep breath was heard from it, as a familiar creature breathed out. Cecil stepped nervously away from the firing bins, not wanting to be eaten like the rumours said happened to fired sligs. He sniffed and looked down at the hybrid, wanting to spit on him. “So whut ‘appuns tuh ‘im?” Natzo looked at the right bin and grinned. “He isn’t Skillya’s problem, he’s someone else’s…” The mudokon was filled with dread again as he was dragged back over to the bins. A sick laughter and screams of desperation filled the air as he was dragged over quickly, swung back, and thrown in.

He screamed as he slid faster and faster down the tunnel, going around and around as the voices from above faded out. He fell from the dusty pipe as it ended, falling flat on his front to the floor. He lay there, bruised and afraid, before opening his eyes.

==========================================================

His first memories were when he was a newborn. Being cradled by the creature attached to its giant egg producing thorax that he knew as his mother. Being a hatchling, he was soon snatched from Sam’s chained arms and put in a nursery, along with dozens of other mudokon babies. There he grew up into a young child, learning how to clean and who was the boss – glukkons and sligs of course.

Being babies, toddlers and children, they had some better care, but not much. The grumpy sligs would still beat them, but only once or twice if they disobeyed something they were told to do. A beaten hatchling would probably be a bruised dead mess and obvious to the glukkons, who wanted more slaves after a shipment of eggs had been freed. He hated it there growing up. The place smelt of smelly babies and bad conditions like mould on the walls or trash left in the bin. The food tasted like the trash recycled into grey slop, which the babies would refuse until it was forced down their throat. The babies would howl and cry and whine and the sligs would bark orders. The place looked a mess that would shock a health inspector and make them want to take all of the children away. The beds were hard and uncomfortable, and they slept in a dark steel room whenever they liked it or not.

They were all young and he was shy, but he made friends. A younger mudokon, still light brown in toddler age, and another one, turning green and older than him. It made his life bearable, playing with the other mudokons, simple children’s games without toys, hiding and chasing and racing. When he was scared at night, he would talk to them if they were lucky enough to be shoved into the same bedroom. He hated the nursery, and ignorantly longed to go into slavery, thinking it could only get better. He was wrong.

CHAPTER TWO: ENTER FLUFFY

The new room was completely dark and silent as he stood up slowly, pawing around to find his way around in the pitch black darkness. There were no walls nearby to him in the strange room, as he dared take a step. His foot touched something small, something alive, something that made a creaking whining noise. Terrified, he relaxed a bit and knelt down slowly to feel it, to try and figure out what it was. It was a small slimy creature with arms, no legs, and a tentacled mouth. It sort of cried upon being held by the stranger, squealing and wriggling before slipping out of his hands and dropping to the ground. He listened to it crawl and squirm across the floor, unhurt, as it stopped far away and began whining again. His eyes had only slightly adjusted to the dark as he tried to walk forward again, hearing another squeal as he stepped on top of another creature. He removed his foot quickly, having already provoked it into crying. Loudly. He felt fear and guilt as more of the strange wet creatures woke up and started to cry too.

Stepping back, his heels only nudged more strange baby creatures that creaked in confusion as they awoke. The once silent room was now filled with creaks, squeals, cries, whines and the sound of the babies shuffling and crawling across the floor as he stood still, not wanting to make the situation worse. As his eyes further adjusted to the pitch black dark, he could see them, a lighter colour than the steel floor, moving in all directions. He looked all around him, seeing he was surrounded by the possibly hundred or more infants. He stood still in fear and watched as they all seemed to crawl past him in the dark dusty windowless room, like the one he had been in before, only bigger and darker with no obvious exits. Curious, he strained his hybrid eyes to see what they were crawling to. They had gathered around something, something very big, and were squealing loudly to it, their squeals echoing around the room. He could make out the outline of whatever it was, tall, lumpy and reaching up to the ceiling.

Fear surged through him like lightning as he heard a deep rumbling breath that he felt on his skin and smelt. It felt warm and reeked of raw flesh. He heard the unknown creature growl as it awoke, its voice getting louder and louder, more threatening and rumbling. He froze as he felt the most scariest moment in his life, seeing the creature’s eyes open. There was over a dozen of them on its head, and they were all red and glowed electronically in the dark. The creature snarled and he screamed, amongst the sound of the whining babies.

==========================================================

He could still remember that day he’d finally left the nursery. He was full of hope to finally get out of that awful place. He had his bucket and cloth, ready for scrubbing like he was going to be made to in his new job. He was at a train station, probably Feeco depot, with a large group of dozens of other mudokon children, with his two friends by his side. They chatted and giggled in the large rusty room, before silencing with the rest as the walking sligs came in. They were armed with bats, which wasn’t new to him, and were grouchy as usual. He looked on with his brothers as a loud rattling train with a glukkon face at the front came along the long tunnel, on the strong metal railing it hung into. It braked and slowly came to a stop as the curious mudokon children watched. The mudokon to his left held onto him in fear while the other giggled excitedly.

“We’re finally gonna get a job!” The one on his right squealed in delight. “Won’t that be fun Kico? We’ll get to sleep where we want and do stuff!” He chattered happily through his stitched lips. Already the stitches had slackened, along with the rest. It had hurt badly getting them done, the sligs said it would keep them quiet. If they spoke, they would be shot mercilessly, a thing that concerned him about becoming a slave. Fearful or not, he didn’t have a choice in the matter, they were all going to become scrubs. Kico looked at his friend on his left. He shyly chewed at a fingernail, still holding that rag and bucket in his other hand. “Are you okay Lido?” He whispered. “Yeah…” The youngest mudokon said faintly. They ducked as a bat was swung in their direction. They looked up, terrified to see an angry slig wielding his bat. “Unless yer wanna git shot, I suggest you shaddap!” He snapped, walking off towards the door. The door to the train that had automatically opened.

The mudokons walked as they were all ordered and shoved into the train carriage. As they were all bundled in, the three friends found themselves surrounded by other mudokons to the point they couldn’t move. The door was slid shut behind them as the sligs left, leaving them in the dark metal compartment. They could only stand until later, when they slept. It was pitch black in darkness as the mudokons slept silently, piled on and against each other as the train rumbled and shook as it moved at high speed to their new workplace.

It must be an error. Well heres more, I reckon it's getting shorter, but oh well.

CHAPTER THREE: QUEEN FLUFFY

Kico screamed at the top of his lungs, making his throat ache and scaring the babies, but he was too terrified out of his mind to acknowledge the fact. The massive creature still glared at him with those heart-freezing red eyes, still growled and breathed deeply with that bad breath that smelt like raw meat as he cried and shrieked and howled. He finally found sanity within him to run, but only hurt himself as his body met the dusty metal wall. He lay on his back in silent fear, finally feeling that pain in his throat as he heard the huge creature snarl. Then it spoke. In a hoarse, weak, croaky, aged voice.

“State…Your business…Here…” It choked, like its throat was clogged with mucus. He didn’t answer as the babies continued to whine and creak to the beast. At least it could speak, meaning it wasn’t some kind of killer animal. But it could still be a killer. It rumbled a frustrated snarl as the fear took hold of him once again.
“If you’re here…” She croaked. “To take MY BABIES AWAY FROM ME!” She screeched, so unlike her weak normal talking voice. “YOU CAN P*** OF OR I’LL KILL YOU LIKE YOU ALL KILLED HIM!” She screamed like a demon, scaring the young ones away, whimpering. “YOU B******S KILLED HIM BECAUSE OF THE WAY HE WAS BORN!” She shrieked, her furious voice echoing around the dark room. “AND YOU MADE HIM SUFFER!”

A booming screaming screech followed as the young ones squirmed for their lives to the other side of the room, a bed of grubbs that knocked him over. He fell onto the wet wriggling carpet of babies as they involuntarily moved him across the room and yelled as his head met with the hard metal wall. He moaned as his head ached and pounded as he lay against the hard wall, hearing the babies squeal and creak and whine and wriggle and crawl away from him. His heart pounded as he heard the creature breathe deeply in anger and growl in the darkness.
“I…” He choked, terrified and crying. He was answered by an agitated hiss. “I said STATE YOUR BUSINESS!” She screamed. The babies cried louder to the point they also screamed in the dark. Sobbing, he managed to choke up a reply.

“I…Don’t know…” He sobbed weakly. “They…The sligs…Threw me in here…” He cried quietly. The creature listened in the pitch black darkness. The babies were howling and screaming as they cried. She gave a bemused mumbling growling breath, before looking at him more closely. He wasn’t a slig, at least not a normal one. She could see his tail and arms with her lit up eyes, but also saw legs. Legs. He wasn’t a normal slig, and had no weapons. He couldn’t have been after the terrified creatures in the room. He wasn’t making a grab for them, with other sligs, keeping close to the hidden entry and exit behind her, or particularly confident. A slig sent in to snatch the young would know she couldn’t move her body, couldn’t hurt them if she tried as long as they stayed away from her torso, head and arms attached to her massive egg sack. She emitted a rattling sigh.

“I…Apologize…” She croaked weakly, partly from screaming her head off. “I thought-” She broke into an involuntary sudden and loud cough. “You were going to take them away from me…” Losing his fear but still shaken up, Kico stood up slowly. The whining babies still kept away from the beast. He looked at them, seeing their slimy bodies wriggle against each other. “Who’s them?” He asked, though he had a good idea of the answer. The huge creature whispered softly to the babies that calmed down upon hearing her voice in the darkness. “Shhhh…It’s okay…Mummy’s here, mummy wasn’t mad at you…” Their cries eventually lessened, and they crawled closer to her, avoiding Tiro and passing more quickly when they got near him. She looked down gently at them, before seeing his confused and curious expression. “They’re mine…They’re my babies…”

==========================================================

He woke up when the train stopped rumbling and the doors opened loudly. Opening his eyes, he squeezed them shut again when the light came pouring in. The mudokons around him moaned and squeaked as the light strained their eyes and the sligs stood on the outside of the carriage. Seeing them, Kico got up. He knew well if he didn’t obey the sligs, he would get beaten. He nudged his two companions hard, making them moan in response.

“Kico? What time is it?” Lido muttered as he shook awake his other friend. “Time for work.” He answered, helping him stand up. He took his bucket and rag as his other friend awoke too, seeing he made more of an effort when he saw the sligs. “I’m scared guys…” Lido squeaked as he walked towards the open door. Sligs were yanking up the mudokons around them by the hair that weren’t getting up fast enough. “Tiro, what are we gonna do?” Said mudokon looked around as they walked involuntarily towards the open doors, surrounded by sligs. “I don’t know…” He whispered, holding his bucket and rag tight. “Let’s just do as we’re told…” The three friends winced as they saw other mudokons get beaten by the sligs, sligs with guns.

Terrified, they kept walking through the train station with the over a dozen more mudokons. Their bare feet touched the cold metal floor in the train station as the sligs led them through mercilessly, swearing and swinging their blunderbuss’s at them for the slightest excuse. Right then, Kico got a feeling of dread, along with all of the other mudokons. They might have escaped the horrors in the nursery, but this was going to be worse. There were no beds visible in the train station, the sligs had guns that hey beat them with and they remembered the new rules: Don’t go loafing around, keep on scrubbing and don’t speak and you won’t be shot. It was right then they knew they were heading out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Yes, she's a mad mummy. Well here's another chapter....Need sleep...

CHAPTER FOUR: THE QUEEN AND THE HYBRID

Kico was still scared, but now confused. What was this strange and scary creature? He tore his gaze from those dozen or more glowing red eyes and examined the creaking babies that all wriggled around her, looking up at her face. She gave a low growl like a purr and gazed down at them with her larger head and arms, picking up some and nuzzling them amongst her tentacles. She briefly looked at him before looking back at the babies that squeaked quietly in her arms. By now his eyes had adjusted more to the dark, and he could see them and her better.

“What do you mean by…Your babies?” He asked nervously. He knew the answer, but wanted to ask a lot of things he didn’t know how to go about saying. He waited in the dark as she held the babies in her arms. There were silent now and getting tired, their beady black eyes slowly closing. She looked down at them, before looking at Kico again. “I mean just what I said, they’re my babies…” She spoke in a soft hiss. “I’m a queen.” Kico stood there for a moment, thinking, trying to get his head around it.
“…Skillya?” She put down the already sleeping infants, and picked up some more who wanted her attention. They squeaked eagerly and looked up at her.
“No. Fluffy.”

For a moment he thought she was joking. He briefly laughed, but didn’t hear her laugh back.
“What?” “My name is Fluffy.” She said again. “I was serious. I’m a slig queen.” He stood there for a moment, still curious. Her dozen or more red glowing eyes and his white and black hybrid ones stared at each other through the dark.
“Oh…” He looked sheepishly at the floor, unable to tell where it was in the darkness if it wasn’t for his feet. He looked back at the creature he once thought of as a monster. Now it had a name, a gender, a family, intelligence.
“I thought there was only one queen per species?” He asked. Fluffy whispered to the babies that fell asleep quickly in her arms like the other ones had.
“Well apparently there isn’t…” She croaked. “I didn’t know that either.”
Kico watched as the next bunch of babies fell asleep, as she put them down and picked up more. They creaked and wriggled against her face happily, wanting their mother’s attention. He still had questions he wanted answered.

“So…Those are baby sligs?” He questioned again. Fluffy held the babies that were instantly sleeping silently in her large arms. She gave Kico a funny look.
“I’m a slig queen and I haven’t bred with a drone that isn’t a slig, if they weren’t, I’d be surprised.”
Feeling sheepish once again, he looked at the metal floor shyly and poked at it with a large toe. There was just the sound of creaking baby sligs when they didn’t speak.
“So…Why are you here?” He whispered, walking closer to Fluffy. He could see her outline more clearly now, her large egg sack that towered towards the ceiling he couldn’t see and the body on the front, a torso with a head and arms. Fluffy hummed softly to the baby sligs that slept, putting them down and gathering up more. At the mention of why she was there, she felt a little sad.

“The same reason Sam is…” She croaked. “I got kidnapped by industrialists, wanting more sligs…” She looked solemnly at the squeaking baby sligs in her long arms. “I don’t know what they do with them…” She spoke, close to tears. Kico walked carefully closer to the queen, trying not to trip or step on any baby sligs in the dark. Embarrassed, he tried to act like he didn’t notice her crying.
“How long have you been here for?” He asked. He wanted to change the subject, but realised he’d just delved deeper into it.
After some soft sobs, she croaked “About four years…” Fluffy carried on crying against the young in her arms that creaked in sympathy, gazing up at her face. He could see her face had a mask, a larger mask with more red eyes. Her long tentacles stroked at the babies that had no fear of her.
“Sorry…” He mumbled shyly, looking at the slimy offspring that wriggled in front of her. She put down the bundle in her arms that was half asleep and lifted up more.

“It’s not your fault…” She answered, whispering to the next bunch of babies in the dark breezeless room. “Now who are you and why are you here?”

==========================================================

They had been sent to a place called the Slig Barracks. They could finally see the sky, cloudy and green with pollution, they worked on the dusty ground surrounded by stacked high tents, or the metal platforms that rose high up, with nothing to stop them taking a fatal fall. Lights and bent pipes rose up high against the sky, and the weather was usually cold. They would work day or night, and had to sleep when they weren’t being watched. Already all three of the friends had been beaten, over things they wouldn’t get beaten for in the nursery. There was no beds and they slept rough like a homeless person, on cold hard metal that bruised them when they woke up. Mudokon children they knew casually had fallen to their deaths, been beaten up, even shot at for being seen talking. They huddled together for warmth when they slept, talked when they were sure they weren’t being watched, but still spiralled into depression. They actually wanted to go back to the nursery. At least there they had a bed, food at reasonable times and weren’t hit as much, and not with guns.

The cloudy sky had gone dark blue and black in the darkness of the night, and whatever few breezes they were further chilled them. Mudokons were dying of hypothermia, getting thinner from starvation, but the boss, Natzo as they had heard, didn’t care. He just wanted profit. Even the sligs got bad treatment, but at least they had tents, a bed to sleep in that wouldn’t bruise them as bad.

Kico shivered on the platform with his two friends Lido and Tiro. They couldn’t from the cold, from fear of falling to their death in their sleep. Having enough, Kico got up slowly, looking around for any sligs on nightshift. Seeing none, he pulled the ropes with his small hands and wheeled the platform down slowly. Hearing the squeaking of the striped platform, his two friends woke up.
“Kico? I’m try’na sleep…” Lido moaned, turning his head and shutting his eyes again.
“Stop it…” Tiro mumbled in agitation. “What are you doing?”
He ignored his tired companions and continued to move the platform downwards.
“Trying to make sure we don’t fall and die in our sleep…” He whispered, his hands getting friction burns from the hard ropes.

Eventually he made it as near to the ground as possible. Taking his bucket and rag so he could make up an excuse if he got caught, he hopped off of the metal platform and walked around the alleyway. The tents were high and no sligs seemed to walk the dusty earth ground as Tiro and Lido followed him. Kico stumbled and fell as he tripped over a leg. Spitting out dust, he got up and froze as he heard the mudokon mutter and look at him.

The mudokon was older than him, a teen, and had his left eye stitched shut like a blind mudokon. He gawped in shock at his stitched eye as the teenage mudokon scowled at him.
“It’s rude to stare you know!” He snapped. Scared, he tried to run but tripped over another leg. Lying face first in the dust again, he got up weakly onto his feet to see another mudokon teenager, half-asleep and looking at him funny. “Riko? What time is it?” She mumbled sleepily, a female tone in her voice.
“How the heck should I know? The stupid scrub brat just woke me up and its dark!” The teenage half-blind mudokon scolded again. She gave him a look before getting up.
“Riko, he’s a kid, whatever it is, it’s probably a misunderstanding.” She smiled.

“Sorry about him, he’s been cranky ever since he went in the Eyestitch 2000.”
“Ever since I broke out of the stupid thing!” He snapped back. Frowning at him, she looked at the kids once again. The sky remained dark, the only light came from the lamps around the bottom of the barracks and they shivered in the cold.
“So what’s your names kids?”
“I’m Tiro, this is Lido and he’s Kico!” Tiro spoke up. She sniggered as Riko looked bemused. “I’m Mudancha, I’m a female mudokon.” They looked and felt surprised.
“A female? I thought mommy was the only female? How can you be a female and not be really big?” She laughed.
“I wonder that myself. At least I’m not the size of a building and laying eggs all of the time. I guess I’m just a sterile worker like everyone else.” She looked around the tents that surrounded them, fidgeting and shivering in the cold. “Right, Riko, I don’t know about you, but I can’t sleep in this Odd forsaken cold.” He glared at her with his only eye he could see with. “Got any better ideas, chump?”

The two began to bicker before Tiro peered inside a tent. A slig slept silently in it, not making a stir against his ragged blankets. Sneaking in as his two friends felt tense, he could see his right arm sticking out of the blankets, with a pale scar running down it. Shocked, Mudancha lifted him by the waist and yanked him out.
“Are you nuts?! If he wakes and sees us not working, he’ll beat us silly or shoot us!” She scolded quietly. He looked up at her, his face beaming.
“He’s got this scar down his arm!” He said happily. Upon hearing that, Riko crept in. He examined the sleeping slig’s right arm and had an idea.
“He won’t beat you. I’ve seen this guy before, he’s a right emo, he doesn’t hang around with any other sligs and this gang are always bugging him.”
Mudancha whacked him for negative use of the word, looking at his arm.

“And your idea is, genius?...”
He looked at the slig, and began raking under his blankets.
“Help me get his feet, I’ve got an idea…”
“A crazy idea?”
He gave her a dark look.
“You were the one whining about the cold and I’ve got an idea to help, so are you gonna help get him out of the tent or not?!”
Irritated, she helped drag him out as the three young mudokons watched. They giggled as the slig still slept and only stirred, before crawling into the tent. They felt excitement as they felt softer material to sleep on and not hard ground or metals and cuddled under the quilts, giggling. Concocting their plan, the two teenage mudokons went out to get more children, being careful for other sligs. The slig that had been moved out of his tent slept obliviously, shivering and curling up as he felt a cold breeze.

They brought back more mudokon children that more than happily climbed in. They all huddled together in the cold that drifted in, but slept happier and better. Mudancha or Riko would sleep while the other one went on guard duty, watching for any sligs that could pass by. He was happier that night. He had two more people in his family group, and somewhere better to sleep.

Horay for cuteness....Well I reckon its shorter, but heres the next chapter! I hate to see my fic get bumped away...Bump....Bump.

CHAPTER FIVE: TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORY

He shuffled his feet shyly at her question.
“Well…My name is Kico, I’m a mudokon…” He examined the green tail behind him in the dark.
“At least…I think I am…I changed…”
Fluffy purred in thought, still holding the wriggling bundle in her arms.
“You changed?” She croaked. She looked at his bare body, his tail with legs added, his strange hybrid head.
“What happened? You look like-”
She started coughing violently, scaring him. She kept on going for over a minute as he stood there in fear, not knowing what to do.
“Excuse me…As I was saying, you look like a mudokon and a slig combined…What happened?”

He thought about the sad memories for a moment. It pained him a little, but it had pained her too when she had spoken about hers, so he decided to give it a try.
“Well…I was a mudokon, but then stuff happened… And I kinda mixed up with a slig…” He replied, hoping it would be enough. She gave him a funny look.
“‘Kinda’? It ain’t something that happens everyday boy, care to go into more detail?” He watched the babies that had instantly fallen asleep in her arms.
“Well…I knew this slig and…” He choked his last words as the tears welled up in his eyes. The memories were bad and melancholy. Fluffy nodded her head in pity, closing her bunch of red eyes.
“We can talk about that later if you wish…So where are you from?”

He sniffled.
“I was a mudokon slave…I combined with a slig, I got fired, and they threw me here instead of with Skillya…”
There was a silence as he tried to block the sobs in his throat, and she felt sympathy for him. The next bunch of babies creaked louder under her torso, longing to be held. She shushed them, bent to put down the bundle of sleeping ones in her arms, and pick up the next bunch.
“They took me from the swamp where I lived…” She croaked sadly. “I have so many grown up kids there…” She choked, beginning to cry. “They all grow old and die in front of me, because I have a longer lifespan…” She sobbed pathetically, “And I’ll probably die soon…”

Kico had a hard blow when he heard those words. Here he was, trapped in a dark room with baby sligs that feared him too much to communicate with him, and the person he was going to inevitably be friends with said she was going to die. He felt his throat hurt and his eyes flood instantly.

“H-… How? Why?” He said, unable to block the crying tone in his voice. She growled, a low sad rumbling from her throat as the baby sligs wriggled their tentacles against hers in sympathy.
“I’m old boy, very old, I’m older than my mother once was…” She choked, the babies falling asleep slowly in her long arms. Kico walked closer, reaching out a four fingered slig hand towards the baby sligs. They recoiled and squirmed and whined at his touch, as Fluffy shushed them. “He won’t hurt you, its okay, shhhh…” After that, they trusted her and stopped.
“Yeah but…” Kico couldn’t block his sobs. “How do you…Know that-…” She looked at him, brushing a long thick tentacle across his face, wiping off a tear like he was one of her own children.

“When a queen is about to die, she produces another…” She croaked sadly in the dark, both of their eyes adjusted to it enough so that they could see each others faces. “They have some years left to teach them about how to be a mother to possibly thousands of offspring…” She coughed. “Then they die, and it’s up to their daughter to be the future queen…”

The two failed to hold back sobs as he hugged her arms, unnerving the maggot-like young held in them.
“So…You-you have a daughter?” He burbled, his voice shaky like the crying child he was. A whine escaped her voice box.
“She was one of the first ones they took when I was first brought here…” She answered. “I don’t even know if they know that she’s…A queen…”
Her robotic glowing red eyes swivelled to him, wanting questions answered.
“What does happen to them? The sligs, when those…” She chose her words carefully in front of someone child like. “Vile creatures, take them away into the industrial world… What do they do to them? Where do they go?”

==========================================================

Kico woke with the rest at the sound of a loud horn echoing throughout the Slig Barracks. Panicking, he crawled towards the tent exit and froze in fear as he saw sligs wandering about. He saw Mudancha and Riko had fallen asleep, and shook them furiously.
“Guys! Its morning! Wake up!” He hissed, trying not to alert the sligs outside the tent. Upon hearing that, they woke instantly, and began waking up all of the other mudokons. Hurriedly and in a panic, the two older teen mudokons helped the children out of the crowded tent, half pushing them out. They were terrified of being seen but had no choice as they were rushed.

The sligs didn’t seem to notice as the crowd of mudokons slowly gathered outside of the tent. Some were walking by casually, others were gathered in a small crowd not too far from them and others were watching the commotion in the middle of it. Holding their buckets and rags as to not look suspicious and be shot, the children watched as the situation in the group of sligs became apparent.

The slig they had thrown out in the middle of the night was lying on his back, shaking on the dirty dusty earth ground with fear. The other sligs laughed at him, as an older one approached. He looked forty-ish in slig years, with ripped tentacles on his face, and a sneer in his electronic eyes. The mudokons shared the slig’s fear as the oldest one grabbed the lying slig by the tentacles, and hauled him up to his robotic feet hard, careless as to the pain he felt.
“Sleeping like a filthy mud today are we?” He laughed cruelly with his gang. Kico pitied the slig as he saw the fear in his red eyes, knowing that feeling of being belittled and hopelessness. The slig threw him to the dust and lifted his baton, as some of the children gasped and covered their eyes.

The slig whined and curled up as the bully lifted it over his head.
“I guess I’ll just have to treat you like a mud then!” He cackled.
Before he could throw the weapon down with full force on him, blue orbs chased up to him at great speed. As they went into his body and mind, he blabbered loudly in struggle as he shook wildly, almost dropping the baton. The mudokons and other sligs were silent in confusion, watching him for anything that might happen. The old slig looked around the Slig Barracks, like an animal brought into a new habitat, looking at the hard baton in his hand.

They all watched in silence, before he smirked and beat a slig over the head. Not the one who cowered on the ground, but one of his own friends. The beaten slig yelled in pain, before his attacker shook violently again, looking confused as his companion glared at him.
“What?”
“Why the f*** did you beat me?!” He cursed loudly, not caring if the mudokon children heard.
“What the f*** are you talking about?!” The older slig snapped back. Them mudokons tried to hide giggles as the two went on at each other. The victimized slig crawled out of the crowd, before getting to his feet and running off crying. Kico felt more pity for him, but couldn’t say anything as he left quickly, his head lowered to not catch eye contact with other sligs as he sobbed loudly.

The two teens led the children away as the two sligs started beating each other, a crowd of sligs gathering around them to watch. Once safely away, the mudokons went to work cleaning and talked, confident that there wasn’t any sligs around them. Kico listened as the two teenagers argued again and watched as Tiro came back, a huge grin on his face like he was wired.
“Why did you fall asleep?!” Mudancha snapped. “You could of gotten us killed back there, all of us!”
Riko scowled, his unstitched eye glaring at the sterile female mudokon.
“MY fault?! I thought you were watching!”
“I specifically remember telling you to watch for sligs while I slept!” She shouted.

Scared and unnerved, Kico decided to go and see Tiro as the crowd of mudokon kids gathered around him. He had something to brag about.
“I controlled him with my mind!” He beamed, as the other kids listened. Some were amazed, some were in doubt and most of them just wanted to listen to something positive, in a world filled with negatives.
“No way! How could of you done that?” A mudokon child spoke up.
“Yeah, you’re just being crazy! That’s impossible!” Another cried out.
“Could I do that too?” A shy one asked quietly.
Tiro carried on smiling like the cat that got the cream.
“I’ll show you guys me doing that later on another sliggy, if you want me to…”

Speaking up in agreement, they all walked off and began scrubbing in the rusty scrappy scruffy industrial barracks, while the two teenagers eventually settled their argument and began cleaning too.

Can't wait for more!
Your waiting is over...Well it's been a while since I was away in Boppard, but I still plan spoilers for my other fanfic later into this fanfic....Dum dummm....Well here ya go...Wonder where Mia went.... Think I should of made Fluffy more nuts.

CHAPTER SIX: THE SAD TRUTH

Kico froze, not wanting to answer that dreaded question. He only knew one – possibly two – of her children, and the rest he couldn’t tell from Skillya’s if he was locked in a room with a rogue elephant on musth and forced to for any hopes of escape. How could he tell Fluffy, that they were all slaves, slaves who beat, shot, killed and discriminated against other slaves? She was a good person, it would break her heart. He swallowed in his throat aching from crying as he thought of something to say.

“Well…They’re sort of looked after, better than mudokons like me, but…” Fluffy stared pleadingly at him with that bunch of eyes behind glowing red visors.
“Please, I must know, even if it kills me! I can’t go on like this, not knowing what happens to them!” She begged desperately, still holding those baby sligs in her arms. Their squeaks and creaks faded, as they grew more tired and slowly shut their beady eyes. Kico took a deep breath, knowing the truth would hurt her and not sure how to begin. He didn’t want to tell her, it would save her the heartbreak, but he knew by that look in those eyes, although hidden by a large thick steel mask and visors of glass or some other industrial made material, that she needed to know about the children that were cruelly snatched away from her, what fate they faced, she needed answers.

Stifling a sob, his shiny eyes began to well up with tears again, knowing she too would cry.
“The sligs…All of the sligs…” He thought desperately as he felt his eyes on her like lasers. He remained stunned in silence for a minute too long as tears ran from under her mask and dripped onto the floor.
“Go on.” She croaked gently, though she was bursting with the urge to scream and demand an explanation if it killed her. She didn’t want to scare the child like hybrid or wake up all of her children; it would take forever to put them all back to sleep again. Kico took another deep breath through the slig tentacles on his face, trying to summon up the courage.

“The sligs…They all…” He sobbed a shaky sob again. “The glukkons make them…” Fluffy shook as she waited for a reply, feeling like she was waiting forever. The babies stirred as she shook, trying to get to sleep as she was too desperate for an answer to notice.
“The glukkons…They…They make them work…” He began, making progress. “They go on guard duty…And stuff…They, uhhh, work…In places…”
She finally snapped.

“Where do they work?! Do they get looked after?! What happens to them?! What do they do?!” She tried not to scream as the babies stirred. They whined, forcing her to calm down. She shushed them, rocking them gently as Kico wondered how he could tell her without making her burst into tears. He couldn’t think of anything. It was hopeless, unless of course he lied, which he knew would be wrong. He kept on forcing his mind to go against his fear and forget the look on her horrified and disappointed face he’d see when he told her.

“The glukkons treat them badly I think, but not as bad as mudokons…” He whispered, making her face go sadder. Her tentacles went limp and her large eyes squinted in between crying sobs.
“What…What do they do to them?” She squeaked weakly, like the babies she was holding. “What do they…?” Kico took in another deep breath.
“They have to work, they’re made to, if they get fired…Nobody really sees them again, they treat the mudokons badly too…”
Fluffy sobbed. There was a suspicious nervous look about her face that made Kico suspicious, like she knew something. But he didn’t know what or how to go about challenging her about it, so he just eyed her suspiciously instead as he pondered what she was perhaps hiding.

“They treat…You badly?” She sobbed in a weak croaky hiss. He couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow when she didn’t wander or ask about what happened to them after they got fired. But she probably knew anyway. He had been brought to her after being fired himself. She perhaps had the fired sligs tossed in with her in this dark steel dungeon like he had been.

He sighed in a deep breath as Fluffy grew tired. The desperation kept her awake.
“Yeah… I know that they get sent to work in places, I’ve only ever seen how they live in the Slig Barracks…” He offered apologetically. The part of her body, her waist attached to her huge egg sack, with whatever parts she could move above it, shook as she sobbed.
“They’re slaves, aren’t they?” She croaked, bursting into hysterical tears. “Odd, what do they do to my babies?!” Kico shuffled his feet, not knowing how to comfort a mother crying for her possibly hundreds of lost children.
“They guard stuff and work…They sleep in tents and make sure us mudokons are working…” He flinched as she screamed hysterically, and cried heavier and heavier. The babies cried too as they were disturbed by her loud sounds and frantic shaking. Scared, he backed away in the darkness, his eyes adjusted to it well now.

He sat and waited shyly in the dark as her sobs died down. Sobs from being emotional about finally hearing news about them. Sobs from the fact there was some misery in their lives. Sobs from the fact that she wanted to know more.
“What…What do they?!-” She was cut off by a distressed Kico, unnerved by the screaming queen and her crying children.
“They go to work, guard places and watch us mudokon slaves. They sleep at night in scruffy tents. They eat bad food. They carry weapons with them. If they get fired, they’re gone…Look, I’m sorry, but I don’t know much…” He answered glumly, looking at the metal floor he could now see. “I just saw them around…”

He shuffled his feet as her sobs grew quieter. He felt bad for her, but he couldn’t think with the stress. The baby sligs cried, screaming high pitched squeaks as Fluffy held them, shaking in sobs. Other ones that had previously been sleeping had woke up, were crying or crawling around the room. Sighing, he sat down on the hard cold floor on his naked slig tail, looking at the bundles of larva or grubs lying around and the depressed queen Fluffy. He felt guilt for replying so bluntly to her.

He froze then flinched as he felt something wriggle its digits against his short growing mudokon leg. He shuffled backwards on his hands and rear in a panic, before seeing it was just another baby slig. He calmed down, and watched as it dragged itself with its tiny delicate hands and wriggled towards him. It wriggled its face tentacles against him again, and pulled itself onto his closed legs. It rested its small head against his slig belly, and with a breath or carbon dioxide outwards, fell asleep.

He looked puzzled at the sleeping baby, before holding it with his slig arms so it didn’t fall off. He tensed up with fear as he heard a growl, before realizing it was just Fluffy. She gazed sadly at the floor, her black shiny eyes swivelling to him.
“I see Joshi likes you…”
Kico looked at the slig baby, then the huge queen. Most of the babies had calmed down, realising the screaming just came from their distressed mother, and were wandering back to her.

“How do you know he’s…Joshi? They all look the same to me.” He asked. “Sorry that I…” He was silenced as she raised a free hand to quieten him.
“It’s alright…” She hissed, not angry. “I’m distressed, you’re distressed…” She looked at the bundle of babies in her arms. They creaked happily, having got over their fear, and nuzzled against her long tentacles while she purred, a low loud rumbling sound.

“I can tell them by their smell, I suppose it’s a queen thing…I remember every one of them too…” The babies squeaked, like laughter as she held and rocked them. Kico felt nervous as a whole load of the babies began crawling towards him in the dark. He shuffled backwards in his sitting position, trying not to wake Joshi who clinged on to Kico as he slept silently, to escape the babies.

Fluffy stared sadly at the cold floor, then smiled as she saw Kico afraid of her children. “They won’t hurt you, I promise…” She continued to gaze at the floor as an unnerved Kico watched them crawl closer and closer. He finally stopped his slow shuffling escape as his back touched the cold steel wall. Still scared of the approaching young, his gaze drifted to Fluffy. She was still sad, he could tell. Her front body drooped from her egg sack that towered higher than a small building, her tentacles flopped around the now happy children she held, and she stifled sobs quietly.
“…You said they were mean to you, what do they…Do?”
Kico looked sadly at her, as she looked on the brink of tears. She’d have to know the truth sooner or later.

==========================================================

The younger gang of mudokons kept on cleaning. Even though their arms, backs and legs ached from being in their crouching position for about an hour. Even though their knees and hands were bruised, from constantly kneeling on them. Even though they were tired from short periods of allowed sleep, cold from wearing just their loincloths, hungry from lack of food given to them and wanted to sulk off somewhere to sleep. They couldn’t stop scrubbing, for the sligs were watching. The sligs armed with batons, guns and whatever else they were given as a weapon that they chose to beat mudokons with. Sligs were crowded around the area at ground level outside, walking in and out of alleyways between brown tents lumped on top of each other like dirty washing. There was just the sound of them talking and their pants moving, as the mudokons weren’t allowed to talk. If they did, they would get killed. Shot.

The five mudokon friends shivered as a gust of wind flew by them, like it was rubbing their torture in their faces. Tiro scrubbed slower and slower as he became worn out, stopping and slouching for a moment in rest. Kico watched as a walking slig came sneaking up behind Tiro, his pant sounds blowing his cover. He felt scared, knowing the slig was up to something, but could do nothing. Tiro continued cleaning, sweating as he heard the slig come closer. His thoughts were that he had noticed his pause in work and that he would get told off for it. He thought wrong as Kico and others noticed in horror as the slig raised his gun.

The walking slig made some BS Smo’BS sounds, before thrusting his blunderbuss down – he beat Tiro hard and repeatedly, over and over again as the children could do nothing for fear of being shot. Tiro yelped and howled as his body scrambled for escape and hit the dirty ground with the force, for little over a minute. The slig was done with his beating. He expected him to tell him off for ‘not working’, swear or spit at him for ‘being lazy’ – but he didn’t. The sadistic slig just laughed cruelly and walked over to another group of sligs.

Kico cried silently in frustration, injustice, pity and despair while Tiro cried quietly in short sobs he tried to hide in pain and fear. The slig had given no reason for beating Tiro, so presumably he had done it just for sick fun. The others, whenever they had noticed or not, carried on scrubbing with their cloths for fear of getting beaten, even though the guilt and injustice of seeing one of their fellow people get beaten panged at their conscience.

“Hey, you there!” A non sliggish voice yelled. It caught the mudokons attention, and they looked over whilst still scrubbing. A bulky slig stood there, so bulky that the slig’s shoulders were broad and its arms were thick at the upper and lower parts, unlike most slig’s arms. Thick abs showed through the black sleeveless shirt the slig wore, and two large lumps on the slig’s chest. The slig’s pants were of a different, rounder, less complicated design, made of aluminium and shined back at the sun as the slig walked, half marching furiously towards the slig that had beaten Tiro.

The mudokons stopped cleaning and watched, feeling safe as the crowd of slig’s attention was drawn to the commotion going on between the two. The butchier slig in the shirt yelled at the cowering slig, before yanking him up by the tentacles so he hung off the brown ground by his mechanical feet. The stronger and madder slig’s eyes glared into his as the slig struggled in pain and fear. Pulling his face closer to the slig’s own with a dark glare, the slig victim finally silenced, only uttering faint whimpering.

“If I see you breaking rules like that again, Natzo is the one that’s gonna deal with you…” Slig’s sniggered, some of the mudokons giggled and the slig’s terrified whines could be heard, like a kicked sloggie.
“AFTER I REARRANGE YOUR FACE!” The bigger slig screeched. The mudokons and some other sligs yelped or jerked in surprise-fear. The slig let go of the terrified slig, who ran screaming like a girl down the nearest tent alleyway. The other sligs laughed as the mudokons tried to hide giggles in the scrappy, metal, bent pipe and hanging light-ridden outdoors.

“WHAT’S SO FUNNY?!” The slig screamed, scaring them all again. “GET TO THE CAFETERIA SLIGS, THERE’S A MEETING THERE!”
Scared, they all began leaving as quickly and quietly as possible, the sound of their pants moving escalating louder before fading out. Kico looked around and panicked with fear for his friend’s life when he saw Tiro openly approaching the mad slig. The mudokons felt helpless as they knew they couldn’t move; it would risk getting killed themselves.

They waited with their hearts in his mouths as the tough looking slig noticed Tiro approach. The slig glared at him in a sour mood, the slig’s hand near the gun holder on the slig’s curved mechanical pant leg.
“What do you want, mud?! You should be scrubbing! Get back to work before I’m supposed to shoot you!”
Tiro just beamed up at the slig, like a puppy to its master. The mudokons watched, only able to see his back and the slig’s muscular torso and head with glaring demanding electronic eyes.
“Thank you for punishing the mean sliggy, Mr. Sliggy!”
Tiro took a step back, his green facial expression changing to fear when the slig leant down to glare at him. The slig’s red visored eyes were right up against his. He could feel the slig’s tentacles move on the slig’s face as the slig spoke.
“I’m a female slig, mud. Don’t forget it.” With that said, she walked down the alleyway, in no rush as her pants made considerably less sound than normal heavy metal slig pants.

Tiro stood there for a moment, before going back to the other mudokons. He then stopped, as a huge wired grin bended onto his face as he got an idea. The other mudokons just looked at him before Riko butted in.
“What the heck are you smiling for?!” The stitch-eyed mudokon snapped, still crouching on the ground from scrubbing. “You could of gotten yourself killed!”
Kico wondered the same thing as Tiro’s grin just grew. Lido spoke up shyly.
“Why are you happy?” He squeaked faintly. Tiro laughed.
“Remember I said I’d try my trick on another sliggy?”
“You mean possession, genius?” Riko butted in bluntly, earning an elbow-shove from Mudancha. His smile hinted at evil.
“Well I just figured out a way to do it whilst getting revenge…Sweet sweet revenge on those sliggies…”

Uhhhh, chocolate! No honey! But I can't choose, they are both good on toast!

Wellll, old fans might of wandered away, and I might of put in less details in boredom, but its a big chapter, and I've been spending most of then day trying to finish it up...Well, its big, you get to know about Fluffy's past too, and I put something I mentioned in W@RF into it...Enjoy if you still read this.

CHAPTER SEVEN: STORIES SHARED

Tears flowed from under Fluffy’s mask as she cried silently. Kico sat closer to her, holding four sleeping babies on his lap. Every single one of them was fast asleep and silent in the dark metal lair. Kico gazed up at the old queen, waiting for an answer. He’d told her as much as he could about her children in slavery, plus the bad news – most of her children were bad. They beat and shot mudokons, picked on each other and could die in their jobs – some had died from Abe-related incidents, slipping into recyclers with suction power or suicide – he’d heard about them from eavesdropping on slig conversations and gossip. She had bawled and sobbed and cried for what felt like hours, before finally silencing. She had gotten answers about her children after four years, but most of them weren’t pleasant. The two sat in the dark in silence, before Fluffy spoke again.

“So…That’s what happens to them?” She croaked. Kico nodded.
“Yes…I can tell you, they’re a lot better off than mudokons though…” He answered apologetically. “I’m sorry…” The massive slig queen sniffed.
“I’s’allright…” She choked. “Not your…Fault…”
Kico looked around the dark room slowly. The babies lying around their mother, in her arms or his, didn’t utter a squeak.
“I…Think you’re a great mom…” Her head lifted in his direction as he looked at the floor shyly.
“I never knew mine…” He said glumly. “I kinda do, but just a bit of what she looked like…” The two gazed at each other in the silence between speaking.
“Thank you…” She hissed, not threateningly.
“Welcome…” He replied quietly.

The two sat and looked at the babies that slept. They didn’t utter a squeak, stir or move in the slightest. He took in their detail, their delicate arms, tentacles and hands, their tiny black beady eyes shut with a slit, their smaller and rounder bodies, soft and small enough to fit in his hand.
“So…” Kico began shyly. “What was your life like before you were a slave? I used to be in a nursery…I was glad I got out, until I started working…” She smiled. Some happy memories.
“Can you tolerate a story from an old person?”
He laughed.
“Heh…Yeah, I’ll live…”
Fluffy fixed her twelve eyes on him.
“Alright then…Here goes, I’ll try…I’m old, my memory is bad, so don’t expect too much…”

=============================================================

The swamp, far away from industrialists, but still in Mudos, was filled with a green gas most species found intolerable. Only some lived or ventured there. The plants were green and could breathe in carbon dioxide from the creature’s breath, and breathe the green gas out. The waters were ridden with plant life and usually muddy. The creatures inside the swamp didn’t live anywhere else on Mudos, because they had an intolerance to oxygen. The trees rose thick and high, blocking out most of the view of the sky but still letting in sufficient sunlight to see. Predators fed on whatever was below them in the food chain, with no one but the top predators free from being hunted. Even then, they had their corpses ravaged by hungry carnivorous others.

One of the creatures, a slig with large shiny black eyes and three lumps on her chest, crawled quickly through the swamp like she’d been doing most of her life. Grabbing at the ground with her black nailed slig hands, she snatched and pulled herself along the grassy ground, dragging her tail behind her. She slipped into the swamp waters, doggy paddling across a lake. She held her head up above the muddy water, blinking her eyes before dragging herself ashore. She lay on the soggy bank on her back, covered in mud from the lake. She sighed and stared up at the sky through some branches that reached out at nothing, and closed her eyes.

Without her knowledge, a group of sligs watched her from the nearby thick bushes. Sligs, with something inside their tails swollen that they struggled to drag around most of the time. Sligs with a tail designed for ‘something else’ and larger eyes. They sniffed at the female from a distance, trying to hide giggles and sniggers from the joy of having their desire so close to coming true. One slowly and quietly crawled out of the green bush, eyeing the unsuspecting female as she lay there with her large eyes closed.

“Fluffy!” A weak croaking voice called out. “Home, now!”
The male sligs flinched in surprise at the sudden sound of the voice. The female’s slig’s shiny eyes shot open, upon hearing that familiar voice. Flipping onto her belly, she darted off in a fast crawl towards the voice she felt so familiar with. The other sligs gave up their chase, after getting tired too quickly from lugging their heavy reproductive organ around, and sulked off back to whence they came.

The female slig slipped into another swampy lake, feeling the cold water against her naked body as she doggy paddled, feeling the pond plants brush against her skin as they swayed in the muddy water with her movements, making ripples travel away from her in a radius. She pulled herself onto the bank again, and began crawling towards the familiar voice.
“Fluffy!”
“I’m coming mom!” She snapped.

=============================================================

The mudokons all tiptoed quietly through the darkening Slig Barracks, their young feet making sounds similar to Abe when he sneaked. All of them together made it a loud chorus of squeaking. They sneaked through the alleyways of stacked high tents, looking around for any sligs that might spot and shoot them. Tiro’s grin grew as they all got closer to his planned destination – the two teenagers and group of children. His face looked wired when he saw his target – the female slig.

They all peered into the wide space from behind a tent. Sligs were scattered in few numbers around the large gap, walking, talking to each other or both. The female slig was in the centre of the wide open space, surrounded by more tent piles that made more alleyways. She just stood there, watching the sligs didn’t do anything against the rules, but otherwise idle.

Tiro giggled, a giggle that escalated into a manic laugh, before being hissed at by Riko.
“I’m sorry, was your plan for us to get shot?! Shut up or they’ll hear us and see we aren’t working!”
Silencing and feeling sheepish, Tiro cut to the chase and began chanting.
“Yue, yue yue, yue, yue…”
With those few words muttered, blue orbs gathered and swirled around Trio’s head. The abundance of them surprised even Riko And Mudancha, who watched in silence with the others. Excitement increased in them, then positive shock and surprise as the orbs of energy shot out towards the female slig. She didn’t see them coming, not even when they reached her. They went into her, as her eyes flashed blue and she shook wildly like a rag doll being ripped up by a slog. When it stopped, she looked around, the blue glow in her eyes fading as she noticed the group of mudokons.

They felt fear as Tiro continued chanting away to himself and the slig supervisor stood staring in their direction. They weren’t working, just kneeling there where they shouldn’t be – punishment could await them, like being shot. The female slig continued to stare, before waving and walking over to them. She tripped six times as she went over.

The mudokons stared at her, awaiting orders or punishment – waving at slaves and tripping over ridiculously was just plain out of character for her. Close enough to them and looking around for other sligs, she leant closer to answer, her chest bulging.
“Guys, it’s me, Tiro – I’m possessing her.” Tiro whispered in a cybernetic-sounding voice mixed with hers. With that said, the mudokons tried not to laugh hysterically in case ‘other’ sligs noticed them.
“You…Possessed a girl?” Lido giggled. The mudokons kept themselves to giggles instead of mass hysteria. Riko rolled his eyes, not sharing the humour and irritated.
“Uh, you possessed her, why exactly? How is this gonna help with any!?-”
He was cut off in shock as Tiro made her lean down, the slig’s chest inches away from his face. His unstitched eye was wide with shock-surprise as ‘she’ sighed at him.
“The idea is, as a higher ranking slig, I can take revenge on the sliggies and they can’t say or do anything about it…” He deliberately made her lean closer. Riko moved back too quickly to avoid her boobs, falling on his back with a yelp as the other children giggled at him. Riko got off his back, watching the slig female under possession as she walked off, trying to walk girly but stumbling.
“Man, how do sligs walk in these? Try and follow me guys, I have some ideas…”

Obedient, excited and interested, they sneakily followed through the shantytowns as Tiro went to carry out his master plan. Even the usually moody Riko seemed to hide excitement as he carried the chanting mudokon. They watched from behind a large lumpy big bro tent as the possessed slig approached a group of sligs. She stumbled again, but the sligs didn’t seem to notice. They just chatted away to themselves, with a walking slig in the centre of the group and conversation.

“So I beat the stinking mud, and he cries!” He spoke cheerfully before laughing with the others. “I would of done it again if it wasn’t for psycho b****!” They muttered in agreement.
“I swear; I think she actually got someone fired….” Another muttered as others grumbled in agreement.
“And you know what happens after that….Bang! You’re on Skillya’s plate with no way out!”
“And who’s to blame? ‘Mommy’!” He highlighted his word to point to the lack of Skillya’s care in sarcasm, “and the gluks for making the system that gets us screwed!”
“Exactly!” Another agreed, along with virtually all of the rest. There was an uproar of agreements as some sligs stood up and the young mudokons watched.
“We should shoot the gluk b******s, then we could do what we want without getting fired!”
Sligs leapt up and cheered in agreement, firing their machine guns into the air. The children whimpered and recoiled at the sound of the weapons banging. They had learned to fear them, and seeing the bullets as fast as light speed reminded them how easily they could get killed if they were caught slacking off.

A feminine sigh interrupted the conversation and drew all their attention to her. She stood leaning against an old big bro tent, before stumbling as she attempted to move.
“Now come on boys,” she spoke in a seductive girly tone, “who would pay your wages if you did that? And who would feed you, huh?”
The walking sligs looked suspiciously at her, knowing she was acting well out of character – the normal her hated guys, acted tough and was chaste to the point she plain hated them all.

A slig eyed her suspiciously as she leaned against a tent.
“What do you want?” He would of spat if she wasn’t the psycho-who-beats-up-other-sligs. She sighed, before strutting towards him as the other sligs recoiled in learnt fear of her. They didn’t know whenever she was nuts, possessed or trying to trick them into calming before kicking their metal pants as they least expected it. Their thoughts fell on the last theory. The slig in the middle stayed, standing up and walking backwards as she approached. He walked backwards faster as the other sligs scattered away and broke up the group. They’d rather not get involved. She had manipulated them before, and being sligs with room temperature IQ’s, they believed what she said – if they fought back or reported her violent rule breaking, they’d be beaten up, reported themselves, or would just plain regret it. They longed for the day she would be shot, fall in a recycler or be rid of as soon as possible, along with Natzo, big bros, Abe and whoever else had annoyed them or made them suffer.

Her mask visors were fixed on the slig as he tried to break into a run. She lunged for him in her lighter aluminium pants, hauling him up by his mechanical roundish feet in one arm. Tiro smiled in his mind at how easy it was, while he ran off dragging the yelling thrashing slig.

The mudokons continued to sneak. They tiptoed, hid behind tents and trash, looked around for other sligs and watched Tiro’s ‘guinea-pig’ to see what would happen in his master plan. The air was lifeless, the Barracks tall and scruffy, their white tennis ball eyes wide and watching as they knelt and peered from behind a sleeping big bro. It was the biggest big bro they had ever seen – ten foot tall to the bottom of his pants to the top of his neck. They stretched up to peer over his torso and four mechanical legs. They feared the time if and when he woke up – big bro’s were known to be ridiculously more aggressive than normal sligs and beat you up over getting in their way.

As they watched, she was recklessly dangling the slig by his leg over the edge of an outdoor slog pen. He screamed and thrashed uselessly with his arms as two sloggies yapped and leapt up at him, snapping their young jaws. The mudokons giggled as Tiro got his revenge and the slig got what he deserved. Even Riko shared smirks and smiles among them.

The slig carried on screaming and begging pathetically for mercy, even as another walking slig approached. The mudokons shared quiet gasps as they wandered what he was going to do. The slig watched, first in surprise, but then in dismay and disapproval as he walked closer to the possessed slig.

Tiro was oblivious and laughing madly at his attacker’s torture, before a throat clearing sound got his attention. He looked over, still holding the slig dangling by his foot and looked at the slig at the other side of the tiny sloggie pen. The slig folded his arms and tapped his foot as the victim slig squirmed and screamed. Tiro just sighed in a girly as possible voice, and brushed a hand along her head like he was tossing long blonde hair.
“Can I help you?” She pouted beneath her tentacles. When the male slig spoke, he recognised him as the one that had been attacked earlier.
“You do know that those are unbeaten sloggies, and that you’re breaking rules again, right?” He said, looking at the slig.

The victim slig stopped struggling, then started to look annoyed. Gone was his fear, and now he had a vengeance longing to be fulfilled.
“So?” She answered bluntly like a careless skiving schoolgirl. He sighed and shook his slig head.
“Sooo, the slogs won’t be vicious because they haven’t been beaten, and you are breaking rules. Again.” He answered.
Surprise on her face, she looked at the severely irritated looking slig dangling upside down from her hand. And dropped him. He landed with an outcry on his head and shoulders, before getting his face washed by lapping pink tongues. She gave the slig a glare as he pushed away the sloggies and dared to stand up and glare at her. The two were silent before the slig’s confidence slowly faded and she held a clenched fist to his face.
“Run along now, I have matters I need to attend to with this one here…
GO NOW OR ELSE!” She screeched. Obeying orders and common sense, he ran off.

The two sligs and spying mudokons listened as the sounds of that slig’s pants slowly faded away. The slig was left to stare into her glaring electronic visors from the other side of the slog pen. The two sloggies wandered aimlessly within the boundaries of the metal fences, sniffing around and wagging their stumps for tails. Eventually, she raised a hand and shook a finger towards herself, implying him to come nearer.

“Ummm….What?” He managed to blab.
She sighed in a girly voice again. “Just commere…”
“…Why?”
“Because I said so, now do as you’re told boy.”
Riko moaned as the two engaged in chat. “Riiiiight, and what is the point of this?!” He recoiled as Mudancha wapped him again.
“Just let him have his fun, he’s been beaten. Besides, you’ll get us noticed if you’re too loud, and he’s probably…Taking revenge like he said he would…” She sighed and watched the two as they spoke.

The male slig backed away as she walked closer, blue lights flying around her head.
“Riiiight, what’s your name?” She said before stumbling in her shiny pants again.
“Uhhh…D-Dimi-” He was cut off by shock when he realized she was close to him. Too close. Her face nearly touched his before he fell backwards onto the ground. He looked up at the slig as she calmly looked down at him casually with her hands on her pants.

Mudancha hit her forehead. “Yeah, he’s messing around…” The mudokon children laughed as the slig started to get annoyed.
“W-what was that for!?” His irritance grew as she just laughed and leaned down to look at him.
“You’re cute when you’re mad, D-Dimi…” She mocked him in his own stuttering quote. He got up and ran from her behind the large sleeping big bro. The mudokons were nervous as he got closer then terrified as he tripped over Lido. The mudokon child cried out before the slig got up and saw all of them. Mudokons. A huge group of young mudokons not working and hiding behind a sleeping big bro slig. One of the oddest things he’d seen since Agent 80085 the female slig was introduced to the Slig Barracks. She was different as a teenager, didn’t wear a shirt, exercised less…

Without a gun or a dark heart to shoot them, he just stared at the children and teenagers that stared back at him with tennis ball eyes. He looked back at Agent over one of the big bro’s leg’s. She giggled coyly and waved at him, before shaking violently. The blue orbs left her body as she resumed her own control and looked around.
“What the Hell…Did I get possessed?!” She saw Dimitrio staring at her, along with a bunch of mudokons, and glared darkly.
“Alright, I wanna know who possessed me and why right! - ”
A familiar chanting sound cut off her words. An outcry of “Not again!” Was heard before the blue orbs of magic took control of her again. She shook more this time, as she tried to fight it off, but failed. Her eyes retained the slight blue glow as blue orbs danced around her head.

The slig slowly turned to them with a seriously annoyed look as he figured out just what was going on.
“Alright…I want to know which one of you possessed her and why!”
They were still for a moment before randomly pointing to each other. He groaned in irritance and looked more sternly at them.
“Look, this isn’t funny! Possession is -”
“Nine tenths of the law!” Kico butted in, sharing laughter among the others. The slig muttered under his breath and tried again.
“Possession is against the rules, and if other sligs see she’s possessed, they’ll shoot her on sight!” He scorned. A more serious and guilty mood spread throughout the mudokons.
“And if the management finds out you’re possessing her, you’ll be accused of terrorism and shot too!” He snapped. “If you don’t stop now, you’ll risk yourselves getting killed and her!” He would of carried on his lecture, but two bulky arms threw him over a bulky shoulder. He yelled and struggled as Tiro hummed a tune and held the slig tight.

He made a girly sigh again as Kico thought about what the slig had said. He was right; they could kill someone, and all in the name of revenge and fun.
“Look,” Kico began. “I think we should stop now...” He inclined at the possessed slig. He grew annoyed as he didn’t stop.
“Look, I won’t get caught, the sligs still have no idea I possessed her.” Riko just scowled at Tiro in her body. The slig over her shoulder still whined and struggled.
“And if you do get caught, she’ll die for no reason! Are you willing to risk that?!” He growled as Tiro just swayed her pants in a pose.
“I didn’t get caught the last time, no one has noticed so far, and if I do get caught and live….” He looked at his slig hostage as he thought.
“I’ll run around in a circle without my loincloth on singing the tune to The Mr. Happy the vykker’s Show.”
“……..” Was all Riko could say. Mudancha gave Tiro a funny look.

“Right, we’ll do what we can to not let the other slig’s find out…” She began. “But if they do, there’s a chance we’ll all get screwed.” She looked more seriously at him. “Now what are your plans?” The slig smiled as his familiar evil-happy mood came in his mind.
“Do whatever I like, get revenge and act like a total idiot.”
The mudokon children giggled as the two older teens rolled their eyes. “You already did that…” The slig muttered. Tiro lifted him higher and swung him back and forth.

“W-what are you doing!?” The slig panicked. He hopelessly grabbed at her and the too far away tents.
“I’m gonna use you as a club to wake up the big bro.”
“I’m already awake.” A childish voice squeaked.
Kico and all of the mudokons all looked at each other in question as to who had spoke, but they were unanswered. A loud mechanical sound was heard as the big bro they all sat behind moved. They all screamed and scattered as the slig got off the ground with his large arms, and onto his four metal feet. They hid behind the tents and whatever else they could find as the confused slig looked around him.

“…Hello?...” He spoke nervously, like a kid in his first school.
Tiro stared up at the slig, along with his victim dangling from her hand by his pants, upside down. He thrashed and struggled as the uncomfortable feeling of the blood going to his head set in.
“Look, cut it out!” He whined. “Anyway, that big bro is Tiny, he won’t hurt you, let alone a fly….Well, at least the things he doesn’t step on…He hasn’t even got a gun…Let go of me!” He snapped at Tiro.
“Put him down!” A mudokon child ordered. He held him lower, before dropping him and letting his legs flop to the ground. He glared up at the possessed female slig while Tiny just stared down at the kids, without even blinking.
“…Aren’t you supposed to be cleaning stuff?” He spoke in an unusually high voice for a big bro.

“Yeah, but… No one has caught us yet…” Kico answered nervously. He just couldn’t feel calm speaking to a big bro. Riko sniffed.
“This is the wimpiest big bro I’ve ever met!” He said bluntly without care. A silence fell as the mudokons, Mudancha especially, gave him a look.
“…What?! He is?!” His expression changed when he saw the big bro leaning down to look at him. He backed away a bit, shuffling on his hands and feet backwards as Tiny seemed to glare at him.
“You’re calling me names, aren’t you?” He choked out in a shaky voice. Riko was scared and confused before the female slig leant between the two.
“Alright, enough boys. Now if you don’t mind, I thought I was supposed to be the centre of attention.” He huffed. “Now, can I go and enjoy my temporary freedom?”
“Yeah, fine…” A mudokon moaned. “Let’s just get this over with so we don’t have to worry about being shot…”

Kico was worried. They all were. Getting found out seemed like it would happen any minute to him – Tiro was clearly making her act out of character, they would catch on sooner or later. He felt annoyed at his friend for taking such a risk for fun and revenge – it just wasn’t necessary to Kico. He wanted to yell at him about how careless he was being, but didn’t see what it would do – that slig had told him the risks already, and still, he carried on. If he wasn’t surrounded by other mudokons, he would whack his older mudokon friend on the head to make him stop possessing her. Yet, Tiro’s antics still amused him.

Tiro held the lamp pole tight and swung and twirled on it. The bent lamp that flickered was sticking out of the pile of trash he stood on. The mudokons tried not to lol as he ruined her dignity, while some sligs watched. Tiny stood still, bewildered and confused with nothing to do, Dimitrio’s face reddened as she felt the pain she’d feel when she wasn’t possessed and another big bro slig, bigger than Tiny at 11 foot and 8 inches tall, laughed at her.
“Whu’ a w****!” He laughed cruelly in a deep voice. Dimitrio and Tiny resisted the urge to say something to him as he sneered at Tiny.
“Ah see you’ll still a wussie.”
Tiny whined in fear and shuffled away from him.
“Just…Leave me alone…” He squeaked. The others grew concern as the larger slig stalked closer to him. Tiro noticed the commotion and cleared his throat loudly to get his attention.
“First of all, you boys all owe me fifty moolah. Secondly chunky boy, it takes one to know one.” The mudokons giggled at the humour, getting themselves noticed by the big bro. They ducked lower behind the tent as he walked lower and looked own at them.
“Yo lil’ scum scrubbers should be working!” He spat before the loud noise of another pair of pants was heard.

It was the loudest deepest pants sound the mudokons had ever heard, complete with slow heavy footsteps that shook some tents. They felt the dry ground vibrate as a massive shadow cast from an alley, its caster getting closer.

The body emerged from between two tent piles. It was the most biggest big bro they had ever seen – 14 foot tall and seven foot wide at his shoulders, with specially made pants. The four legs went out further than normal ones, to help support his massive bulk. Muscles bulged everywhere on his body, even where they normally wouldn’t on a slig.

The second largest big bro stepped nervously away from his as the larger big bro looked down at him and walked closer.
“Yuh bedduh nut bih buggin’ Tinih ugain’!” He spoke in an overly deep voice. The big bro took steps back as Tiny nervously chewed a chunky finger.
“Wus ‘e buggin’ yuh ugain’?” Brutus asked sympathetically. Tiny looked at the big bro. He pounded his hands together as the huge slig didn’t look and made a throat-cutting sigh with a large finger.
“Well…” Tiny gave up, knowing there would be Hell to pay when the bigger slig wasn’t around to watch out for him.
“Cecil was bugging him…” Tiro answered, making his slig victim bend over as she pole danced. The largest slig stared at her in disbelief, before looking threatingly at the bully slig.

“Ulrigh’…” He began angrily, cracking his huge knuckles. “Yuh gunnuh geddit…”
Kico winced with the other mudokons in disgust as the cracking could be heard a couple of yards away. The slig tottered backwards in fear as he was now the victim.
“Now com’on Brutus, ah won’t do it again, ah swear!” He pleaded pathetically. He recoiled and shut his eyes as Brutus, the biggest big bro, leaned his small-looking head closer to him.
“Now u’ll give ya yur punishment…”
The other sligs and mudokons closed their eyes, as they prepared themselves to hear punches raining down and screams. But they didn’t come. They let their guard down and jumped when Brutus yelled in his too-loud voice.
“HEY EV’RYBUDY!” His voice boomed out. “DIS GUY’S NAME IS CECIL! ‘E’S GODDA LIL’ SISSY NAME!”

The others took their hands off their ears. The possessed female slig had fallen off of the trash pile, and was lying on her back on the ground. Dimitrio stared down at her with Tiny while Cecil glared at a smirking Brutus.
“Hauhau, yo thought ah wus gunna beat yo up.”
“Ah’ll git ma revenge!” He snapped, before tottering off by himself down a desolate alleyway. The mudokons were in hysterics. Brutus scratched his head as he noticed them, but didn’t have the dark enough heart to shoot them. His attention was snatched as the female slig began blabbering incoherently. He could see her thrashing on the ground as her eyes flashed light blue, then going limp as the lights left her body.

She was still as her eyes flickered open, going wide as she stared up at the three that stared down at her. Her face was surprise, then anger as she wanted an explanation.
“What…The Hell…Is going on?!” She growled. Before any of them could answer, the blue orbs rattled her body again. She shook up and down on the ground, before falling limp again. Her eyes opened, her visors glowing an azure blue instead of red. Brutus took a step back as she looked around at them and sat up.
“Well, now I just have to do one last revenge act, and I’m done…” She said, walking off.
Brutus watched her leave in shock horror, without a gun or nerve to shoot her.
“Ah knew sumthin’ wusn’t righ’ about ‘er!”
“How long did it take for you to figure that out?” Dimitrio muttered.
“A while.”

Again, the mudokons followed her whilst Riko and Mudancha carried Tiro, wondering what his next act would be. None of the other sligs had guns, let alone wanted to shoot her, so they just tagged along hopelessly. Kico, Lido and various others were happy that this would be the last, but dreaded the thought of him being caught. Kico yelped when he was pulled behind a nearby tent, curling up in submission. A hiss from Riko told him it wasn’t a slig.
“Look, there is a heap of sligs and a glukkon in front of this tent.” He whispered. “Just go under this tent, try to look out from under it without being noticed if you want to see Tiro being an idiot, and tell me if he’s doing anything stupid. The other slig guys are looking out for us for some reason.”

Curiosity killing him, Kico slipped under the raggy tattered tent like it was a duvet. He crawled forward, shoving other mudokon children by accident as he did, and stuck an eye out of a hole in the tent. He felt a hand on his shoulder and heard Mudancha’s voice under the stuffy cramped material.
“I can see him. He’s over there and approaching that glukkon.” She told him quietly. Kico looked, and sure enough, past the groups of sligs, he could see the tall X11 purple-skinned glukkon. He was with a slig wearing valet clothes, which looked corny to him. He could see the black shirt-wearing possessed slig approach the two that said something to her. From this distance and with one eye, he couldn’t tell much. Then it came to him.
“Well, now I just have to do one last revenge act, and I’m done…” He remembered him saying. A feeling of severe dread flooded through his mind as he knew what Tiro was planning.
“Oh Odd no…” He pleaded.

An outcry of pain was heard as the female slig could be seen moving an arm quickly towards his face. She yelled “MUDOKONS ARE THE SUPREME RACE ON ODDWORLD!” before Tiro made her kick the glukkon in his concealed arms numerous times. When he fell to his back, he made her do a victory dance on his body. The valet made a sort of howling sound as he got over the shock and became extremely enraged. He lunged at her in a scream, before getting attacked himself by her. Kico didn’t know whenever to laugh or cry at this. He then decided to laugh – it was mudokon revenge against a glukkon who treated them so badly. The other mudokons tried to quieten their laughs, before a shout was heard.

“Okay, I got the chant suppressor fixed!” A slig from up high on a platform yelled. Some of the mudokons were in fear, others were clueless and others were oblivious to the announcement as they watched Tiro being dumb and disobedient. A bolt of electricity shot from above, frying through the blankets as it hit Tiro hard. His chanting instantly switched to a shaky shrieking yell as he got electrocuted.

He moaned and rubbed his sore head under the tent. His body felt like it was burning from the electric shock he got.
“What happened guys?” He whined. Riko rolled his eyes from behind the tent, unseen to Tiro.
“You got electrocuted by a chant suppressor orb, genius. And now that slig is gonna be in deep trouble.”
Sure enough, Kico and some others could see her being detained by two big bros, and a very angry glukkon and valet shouting. The walking slig that had came with them was furious.
“If I knew you’d get her into this kind of trouble, I would of done something about it. Now if you don’t mind, I’m going to go and try to explain what happened.” The two exceptionally large big bros followed him towards the scene of commotion – the female slig’s arms held by two big bro’s, screaming that she had no idea what had happened, a furious glukkon ordering she be fired, a furious slig valet standing protectively in front of his glukkon master and three sligs trying to resolve the mess. A feeling of guilt sank into Kico. He knew he hadn’t deliberately done it, but knew he didn’t stop this from getting out of hand earlier.
