Question GOAT ATTACKS!

Carl Hulsey was determined to turn his pet goat, Snowball into a savage watchdog. Snowball didn’t get savage though, so the 77-year-old geezer took to beating the poor thing with a stick, in a attempt to make Snowball more vicious.
“Pa, this goat’s going to kill you if you keep that up.” Alma Hulsey warned her husband….She was right.
On may, 1991, Carl approached the goat, with the stick in hand. This time, It was Snowball who struck the first blow. The 110-pound goat attacked his tormenter, butting Carl in the stomach, Twice knocking him down. Carl fled up the porch in a attempt to escape the goat. Snowball followed. While Alma watched, the goat rammed his ‘master’ over the edge, causing him to fall five feet and die. “Blunt trauma to the abdominal cavity,” The coroner said. Snowball had ruptured Carl’s stomach.
As a dangerous animal who might harm others, by rights Snowball should of been put down. Once the goats story was known, however, the officials, who were put with the desion on whether to put Snowball down, were pledged by pleas to spare the tormented animal. More then 500 protesters from around the nation called the animal control after it was announced that Snowball might be put down. Many offered to adopt the goat. Some even made death threats. “What happens to the goat, happens to you.”
There was also talk of a bomb being placed….

Snowball was free. He was given to Noah’s Ark, a animal shelter for abused and mistreated animals. His name is now only ‘Snow.’

So, the story about a goat who struck back…do you think Snowball should have been set free? Or killed for murdering a old man? I think, the old man got what he deserved!
Huh, I'll add some more random stories later....

Wait, how old is this story? I remember reading Barts Guide to Life and it had a map of fictional monsters in it. "Snowball the Killer Goat" was one of them. I had no clue, but is this where it's from? If so, this is at least a few years old a story.

This would have been prevented if his wife had not been an idiot and done something. I wouldn't care if anyone was my husband/wife, if the guy was this cruel, I wouldn't love them anymore and call authorities. But then, if this guy was such a p*ick, then I'm glad this happened.
I reckon that goat's still laughing about it.

What? That's like blaming your lawnmower for a horrific accident after you spend months dismantling parts of it, tampering with it and generally dong everything in your power to blatantly void the warranty, and then one day the brakes give out and it runs you over.

Did you supress out all the parts about the old man beating it?

The old geezer deserved what he got. Good for the goat.

No, he was abusive. He figured that since he couldn't train the goat to be a kind of watchdog, he'd beat it until it was. The sick bastard.

:

Well, think of it this way:

Let's say a child was beaing savegly beaten by their father. One day, the child realizes that the beatings will go on forever if he or she doesn't do something about it. The child then retaliates and ends up killing the father. Now, does that child deserve to be put to death, or should that be instead put into a foster home?

:

You bring nothing to the table.

I think the old man deserved it. The sadistic ass wanted a savage watchdog, and, ironically, he got one. The goat had every right to kill him.

I'm not saying that what the old man did was right, nor am I saying that he didn't deserve what he got, but what I am saying is that there should be repercussions for killing someone, even if you had the best reasons to do it.

I agree with you, but in the goat's case, there wasn't anything else it could've done. It's not as if it had any other choice. It saw its only opportunity to escape the pain and took it. I don't think it should have been punished for that at all.

*brings mash potatoes to table*

I'm kinda torn. The man deserved it, he pushed the goat to it's mental limit, and it snapped. My only concern on whether or not it should've lived is how much it was a threat to other people, not just to the man.

Well..our justice system is rather stupid; The goat kills someone for beating it. No if a human did that, they would be hurled in jail, Though I say the old geezer had it coming. If someone did that to me I would attack them.

I'd like to know what the old guy's thought processes were. In what way does "goat" link with the term "savage watchdog"? It's a goat. If he wanted something that would attack intruders, go buy a german shepard or a pit bull, for crying out loud.

Goats are smarted and stronger than most dogs. Seems smart to me.

And repeated torture is also a common way to bring out the dark side of guard dogs.
