Alrighty, I decided to start a new pic topic because the old one is waaay too cluttered!

Alrighty, my first pic is sorta a casual, comic-like were-dragon form of Unopa Nightfire (Me)... that's a lot of adjectives.... Anyhow, uh yeah:

You could probably find a pair of jeans like those for a cheap price in Camdon Town market, in London. My sister got a good pair of jeans with lightning bolts on them. . . Unfortunatley, you live on the other side of the world from there. . . Anyway, good pic.

Almost every girl in germany wear such Jeans, they are so much of this sort. My mother has almost the same Jeans, only the bottom is bigger (that's a Jeans of the 70's!). Now we talk about Jeans..hehe LOL

Alright, the next one is of a... rather old character of mine. His name is Mikos, and he is a Griffin, not a Gryphon. This is just a sketch as this dragon's too lazy to do a computer version yet. So far, I have him as being gray all over with orange eyes, a black mane, and light blue wings. He is a very soulfull character, who is always serious and mysterious in his ways. Mikos is a noble and honorable beast: he never attacks another unless it's for a just reason. Like most Griffins he is known for his amazing voice, yet he can produce a deafening screech. Mik also shows signs of mystical power.

A thing on my Griffs

Alrighty, here's a little thinger on my Griffins. I'm not picky on people using the same or a similar character style as me. Heck, it may be on accident, and frankly, I take it as a compliment. Fortunately, I don't see much of it here at all. However, I have NEVER seen Griffins other than mine drawn with manes or with a similar body structure. I am very very very protective of my Griffins for a few reasons:

1.) My Griff's were the first characters I have ever ever made. They were also purely in my own style, always and forever. They always have had manes, lion/eagle combined eyes, lion's front paws, and large beaks. I created my first Griff character when I was only 7... yeah, you heard me right! I was 7! They are very dear to me....

Chief: *Snickers behind BD's back and makes faces at her*

2.)Secondly, as I have mentioned before, they are drawn purley in my style! If I catch anyone drawing a male Griff with a mane, I'll... I'll... break their fingers so they can't draw anymore!

Chief: *Sarcastic expression of surprise* *Mouths "Yikes, she's mad...."*

3.)Bassoon! Erm, I mean, don't steal me Griffs!!

*Pants* Okies? *Grunts* Oh yes... it's "The Return of Your First Character Ever" brought to you by Chief.....

Heh, I'd never thought of giving griffs manes. I have a couple that have kind of "feather manes" lurking on my site, but they're not very samey. Verra nice, BD.

I like, Ms Nightfire.
I like griffins as well; I used to make up stories in my head about them when I was about 6-7ish. I saw a picture of one by Bert Kitchen (an absolutely brilliant illustrator) and thought to myself, now there's a cool creature!
Technically, if it's got lion's front paws, it's an opinicus, not a griffin, but that's just me being picky. As you said, it's your own style and that sort of thing doesn't really matter outside of heraldry anyway.

I always thought Griffins had manes... But no worries there, since I have no scanner, so I can't draw them...

Incidentally, why did you specify the whole 'not Gryphon' thing? I was under the impression that they were two spellings of the same word... [like 'Vampire/Vampyre', IE one is the more fashionable 'modern' spelling...]

Gryphons are usually creatures that have eagle's feet as their front paws, long ears, no manes, eagles' eyes, and a very long tail.

Seeing as heraldic-type creatures are all mythical anyway, I don't see that there is a particularly "right" way to draw them... But anyway, that's just me being picky. *runs away*

Well, I know I haven't been doing much lately: 1.)I'm too damn tired, 2.)I've been going through a drawing "dry spell" 3.)I'm emotionally/physically spazzed out.

Alright, I finally have an Oddworld pic for you all tonight. I'm kinda impressed by it, considering the crappy quality of pics I've been producing lately. I'm sick of drawing "flattering" pics of my chars... I want more realism! So, after carefully study of the BBS' body and that of a dinosaur, I think I've come up with what Hunter would actually look like IRL. You might be surprised by this pic... not flattering at all and may not be what you expect: He's tall (If my calculations are right on this one, he's anywhere from 15-17 feet tall now, a true BBS is only 9), lanky, haunched over, and his legs are very long. Now, this pose is a casual, laid-back walking pose on his hind legs. With those long legs, bend his body at the right angle and this boy's a speed-racer. Alright:

Edit: Alright, the F-ing code is being screwed up by the forums.. so I'm gonna have to use Angelfire... ya know, for once in my life, can't something be EASY?!!]
