-propulsion
-weapons
-vehicles
-cybernetics
-antigravitation technology (wykkers pods, securiry orbs)

Most industrial fuels are made from animal fat. Flub Fuel is refined from Mudflub blubber, and powers everything from Vykker Pods to Slig Pants. It’s incredibly explosive, which is why it’s so easy for natives to sabotage the FlubCo Fat Fuels Facility and Vykkers Labs.

Well, I don't have the time to put up a picture of their tank, but I think it looks a little like a large wheel whereas the Slig sits ontop and shoots. (however that may just be a buggy of some sort.)

As for the Sligs' arsenal of wepons, it is a pretty vast one. They have Snoozies, Blitzpacker, and some pretty big machine guns once they get past Baton Slig and Shotgun Slig status. There's alot more but Im supposed to be writing a paper right now, Im sure Max or Xav can fill you in with more details.

Security orbs represent a pretty good example of "technology only where it is needed".

I hope you weren't planning to scan it from the "art of" book, because that's forbidden on this forums

Yes, the pictures of both machines can be found in that book, as well as a lot else if you're willing to fork out for it, that is.

Well, I probably wasn't going to scan it at all. I might have put a link to where you could find a picture of it, but I'm to lazy to actually scan anything anyways.

I don't know, but I could try to look for it. I mean it's the world wide web. Someone probably has it....somewhere.

I think I've seen that tank once somewhere in the web. Does anybody know if there are some spacegoing races on Oddworld?

Like a Glukkon might point out, "Moolah is made down on the ground, not in the air." In other words, I doubt any species of Oddworld have interest in astromony.

On the other hand, the vechiles of Oddworld are by far unknown. We know that Clakkerz have trucks, trailers, and cabs, while the Glukkons have Ballcarts, Feeco Depot trains, and blimps. Vykkers have Vykker pods and floating Labs. Mudokons have Elum and Meetles. Sligs have tanks and Flying pants. Steef have their little boats, while Wolvarks have their Strike Force blimps. Now why did I say unknown? Because Oddworld is bigger than Mudos. There is probably other animals around the world that have different technology. We can't say anything on how everything is run around there just from four stories ironically.

I definitely think the Glukkons have lost interest in astronomy, given a certain moon hanging there in the sky.

Interesting that we only ever see it when it is full (except in SW, when, presumably, it was a New Moon).

Oh yes, I've forgot that Glukkons hate that Moon as well as they hate Mudokons and probably have no interest in astronomy and going somewhere in space. Besides it's quite unprofitable.

Ironic, since the very reason we should be making profits is to spend them on enterprises such as space exploration.

Glukkons would probably run a space project only if they ,for example, ruin Oddworld's ecosystem and have to get away somewhere.

Glukkons couldn't run a space program, even if they wanted to. If they destoryed the ecosystem, they would have no fuel to make engines. Therefore, they would kill themselves.

Destroying ecosystem doesn't mean wasting supplies of fuel. I meant the critical atmosphere polution etc. Ofcause Glukkons would just have not anough time to develop needed technologies

You can't destory an ecosystem that way. The Glukkons only live on Mudos. And not on the whole thing either. Mudos is small compared to Oddworld, so no Glukkon could destory Oddworld in a million years. Besides, they could only destory themselves.

On the other hand, I don't see how Glukkons could destory the ecosystem. Mudos isn't made up of all Glukkons, nor are all the species there all on the Industerial side. Some species are trying to return peace and harmony to the forests. And at this point, Glukkons couldn't run a space program, because their race is already falling apart.
