Yes, you read it right. There might not be a Halo 3!

Don't worry, that's because it'll be called Forerunner.
Other interesting facts...

It will include HUGE environments.
It will be somewhat open - i.e. A mission where you have to go invade/destroy an armory will determine how much weaponry you have for the next mission and how much the opposing forces will have.
Will have a definite mission structure - but still be somewhat open.
4 Player Co-Op
A gameinformer source (not named) HAS SEEN THE GAME IN ACTION. He also explains that the reason Bungie says there is no Halo 3 is because it will most likely be called “Forerunner”

Well... I guess that's a little more interesting than a Halo 3.

Maybe it will have multiplayer that actual focuses on (gasp!) skill instead of weapon control. But probably not.

This is ridiculous. Bungie has been saying all along that their next game would not be Halo 3. And it's not that Halo 3 is going to be called Forerunner; this is a new game entirely.

gawd , i hate shit , it smells bad. I didnt like halo 2 , And thought the 1st one was good , but really , I think that Halo 2 was over rated , and wont be buying Halo 3 , Id rather get " full auto " or " call of duty 2 " or even " the outfit " for my 360

Full Auto sucks donkey balls. I downloaded a demo of it off Xbox Live. It only gave me a choice of 2 cars and there was only 1 track available which sucked hairy gorilla penis.

I remember reading an issue of Time where Bill Gates said that the PS3 would be released right into Halo 3. If they are planning to keep it like that then there won't be a Halo 3 until the end of next year.

If they say Halo 3: Forerunner will come out in time with the PS3, add 2 and a half years to the date and you might even be early for it's release.

Actually, I can. Demo's are designed to give the player a feel for the game, to showcase a few (if not all) of the features.

Gnop!, Operation Desert Storm, Minotaur: The Labyrinths of Crete, Abuse, Oni, Pathways Into Darkness, Pimps At Sea, Marathon, Marathon 2: Durandal, Marathon Infinity, Myth: The Fallen Lords, Myth II: Soulblighter, Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo: Custom Edition and Halo 2.

Unless you mean Halo games, then it's 2... technically 3.

I think the new ideas sound good, but calling it Forerunner and all is wierd.
Halo 2 was a dissapointing because of the lack of good storyline and too much shooting and walking

im not two crazy about halo. all my friends are ontheotherhand so I constantly play them play because then they are nice enought to play what I like to play. sometimes its okay though and I wander what halo 3 would be like and what they would add to the seris.
