The larger the planet, the faster it will rotate, due to centrifugal forces, there is more mass spinning around. Jupiter is huge, and has days of about 16 hours.

Actually Jupiter's day is only about ten hours long. But it's a gas giant too. And all of the gas giants in our solar system have very short days. Oddworld is a rocky inner planet, so its day can't be assumed to be short when it's not a gas giant.
Bullet Magnet brings up a point with Mercury, but judging Oddworld's bioshpere, I think we can assume it is located in a similar position to its sun like Earth's position to our sun, therefore it probably rotates a similar way Earth does, the mass of the planet also must be taken into consideration. Because it is ten times bigger than Earth, their day might just be 240 hours long.
Thinking back to AE, it was evening when Abe arrived at Necrum with the Mudokons, but by the time he had passed through the mines, it was still sunset. Thinking again, the entire game of AE was set in a sunset like time. It's either the enourmous amounts of pollutants in the air causing this sunset like coloration fo the sky, or their day day is as long I hypothesized.
