Oddworld Civil War?

The other day when I was playing through Buzzerton. It was after I saved U-Genus I said something to him about the bounty and he said "can't help me unless you go to the bounty store only following Union Order"

If anyone on here is familure with the American Civil War, that one phrase reminded me of that. OSW takes place in southern Mudos perhaps there is sort of a civil war going on with the inhabitants of Mudos mainly industrial inhabitants. Like the Magog Cartel is sort of like the northern states and the industrial cultures we see in Stranger is like the Confederacy.

What do you think of this Oddworld style civil war going on in Mudos? The fact the Clakker said Union made me think that the Magog Cartel are like the Union.

Stranger's Wrath takes place in Western Mudos, but the Clakkerz come from Southern Mudos. There's no doubt in my mind there are certain conflicts between homely Clakkerz and heavily industrialised families like Glukkons and Vykkers, such as the replacement of Clakker industries and trades with large-scale c-stores.

Maybe large-scale conflict will evolve, and since the Mongo region is a parody of colonial America, there could be plenty of similarities with the American civil war. However, conflict between the industrialised races has always been there, and just because Eugene mentions a union, doesn't necessary imply any political hostility between the East and West regions we've seen so far. Could just be Ius complaining about the regulations of whatever organisation he works for (presumably the city).

A good idea, though.
