Allow me to answer that question for you:
  • Your forum looks like an xbox.
  • Your forum only has 3 members and none of them post.
  • The only posts on your forum were made by you.
  • I have no idea what the topic is supposed to be.
  • It is unlikely that anybody will ever join your forum and use it.
The above reasons, mean that overall, your forum sucks. Luckily for you it only wasted your time, and didn't actually cost you anything.

Here is some advice for starting up a forum, the next time you decide to do something so silly:
  • Get a subject like a popular game or hobby, and make a forum for it.
  • The subject game or hobby must have NO other forums.
  • You must have a good PAID domain name, and a really good forum skin.
  • Get your forum listed on Google so that it comes up as a page 1 result.
  • Tell as many people about the forum as you possibly can.
  • Advertise moderator positions to draw in the power-hungry crowd.
Et voila! You'll have a successful forum in no time!

I don't think it's working.

I think I'll advertise my friend's forum in the Stupid Shit thread.

It's call a rhetorical question. People make forums and they never take off.

I'm glad you at least know the difference between a rhetorical question and a hypothetical question.

You're absolutely right, some people make forums that aren't successful. Some people are better at predicting the success of a forum than others. There are however, some basic rules to follow when creating a forum, if you want it to have any amount of success.

I've outlined them in my first post Abeguy, I suggest you take a more serious look at it. I used to run a very successful forum a while ago, and I know what it takes to make a good one. If you want the same success, then I suggest that you take my advice.

The single most important piece of advice when creating a forum, is that it needs to be the FIRST and ONLY forum of it's type. But most importantly, the first. This is not only so that you get all the newcomers and establish yourself before all the others do, but also so that you can build up the reputation of being the definitive forum for the topic or subject, AND so that you can get the best possible website domain name before anyone else takes it.

I'm tempted to agree, in regards to the forum subject. There's a general discussion forum, with no site to go alongside it. I don't know what your website is going to be like when it's completed, but as of now, there's no specific draw in, or reason to go post over there.

Also, it may be worth pointing out, that forums with black or darker coloured skins are more successful than forums with white and quite brightly coloured skins.

I'm not quite sure why this is, but it is true. There are only very few exceptions to this rule.

The silliness of bumping this topic back up is easily enough a replacement for a warning, in my opinion.

In regards to a webpage color scheme, a dark background with light text is significantly easier on the eyes. But I'd tend to place dark text on a light background as looking less clutered, and a bit more clean cut. Of course, a well designed page layout can make anything work well. What tends to work best will tend to work best. I couldn't imagine Maddox or Google looking any other way.

What the hell is your forum about? Most of your subheadings don't even start with capital letters, and you always brag about being the 'Master' and 'Creator' on your forum, which is a clear sign that a child made it.

I agree with mawk, your forum sucks ass, and you're attempt to bump this thread back up just shows the clear sign of your stupidity. Initially, it should be closed because it's going nowhere.

Did I mention your forum sucks?
