28 Days Later, I think, was not meant to be a typical zombie movie. In my opinion, it's more of a look at how people react to trying circumstances, and how they treat their fellow humans when survival is the biggest concern. I thought it was a great movie.

Exactly. It was also the most believable zombie movie I've ever seen. The film left you with deep thoughts, rather that a regular horror flick that just tries to make you jump out of your seat.
It also shows you how much we, as humans, need each other to survive. When Jim dreams of being all alone, this is a perfect example of that. We don't want to be alone...and that, in a sense, might be more frightening than running for your life.

but 28 Days Later is a good film. From one way you look at it, it is absolutely hilarious - brilliant dark comedy. In other aspects, it is still a brilliant film.

Yes, the reactions in the movie feel unscripted and true to life, which makes it darkly funny in parts.
