None of those pictures are the real thing - they're all just various myths that have sprung up around the iPhone in the last few years. Check out the original link; the photo of Jobs and what's in his hand. Apparently it just has a big touch screen instead of buttons - not exactly an original idea but one that has not really caught off before now.

EDIT: real photos here. It certainly is a sexy looking device. That said, I want one even less than I want an iPod.

Something for the gadgphiles, but already owning a mobile telephone and an mp3 player I could scarecely be interested. It really doesn’t look revolutionary. There are already mp3‐playing, Internet‐browsing ’phones on the market.

Now if it could consolidate my wallet and my housekeys into one manageable block, then I’d be interested. Those things are a bugger to sit on.

In my opinion, the whole idea is completely pointless. A phone should just be a phone. I mean, is it really that big a deal to switch between using your phone and your mp3 player? Do we really have to keep coming up with these all-in-one electronic devices? I just think it's a waste of money.

But the main idea I don't like with these all-in-one kind of products, is that if it's stolen, it's all gone. That why I have a 256mb mp3, no big loss or gain to anyone.

I suppose it may save you money, although they usually charge you more for the all-in-one products to make a nice profit for themselves. Although, it doesn't benefit any one of us that already have the two products seperately.

If you've got a good phone and an iPod, this will possibly be cheaper but, more importantly, will reduce the number of gadgets you have to carry around.

I got this phone in August.


Too new to get a new one,
Although the phone is a bit of an older model.

This is my mp3, Its only 1G.


But having an i phone would deffently beat having those 2 devises.

Don't beat yourself up because of your 1G mp3 player, mine is only 964 MB.
I may be getting an iPod sometime next year...but I don't want a TV in it.

I know what you mean. I got an Ipod Video last year, and I kinda regretted it. The videos kill the battery on that thing extremely fast. I would have been happy with just a regular ol' Ipod, but unfortunately, they don't sell those anymore.

That's another one of their gimmicks. Come up with a new product, get rid of the old one, therefore causing anyone who wanted the original to buy the new, more expensive one, and ultimately make more money.
