TAKE THE RED PILL!!!

Did any of you guys here about those erectile dysfunction pills like Viagra and Cialis causing eye strokes, color blindness, and sometimes fatal drops in blood pressure? Some doctors and groups even want the pills banned. Well, I'm all for it, now I can watch sports without a million dick commercials taking up my time. Now, if only they can connect "all-natural male enhancers" with rectal cancer and alcohol with violence and fatal accidents I could watch a sports program in less than 3 hours.

Hmm, we (here in jolly old piratey england) don't get such adverts upon the TV. At least not that i've experience. Even the emails which used to plague me everyday seem to have stopped. But it sounds like a pain in the arse

Do you have any statistics showing the percentage of occurances of these side effects, Statikk? If they're relatively low, there's no need for a banning in my opinion as long as the risks are made well-known and stuff.

Meh, I bet in 50 or so years you won't be so negative towards them anyway.

The percentage is very, very low. Between the 3 leading brands only 40 or so cases of eye complications (not 1 leading to total blindness) have been discovered. I still say the raunchy, absurdly annoying commercials for erection pills, tampons, vaginal creams, herpes medication, condoms, pregnancy tests and birth control pills should be restricted for out-of-prime time viewing. And prime time is pretty much whenever I'm watching T.V. because I see a helluva lot of the aforementioned ads.

Ah, so your problem is with the commercials, especially the amount of them, about those sorts of things. I thought the thread was about the banning of pills like viagra, and you were just mentioning the disappearance of commercials about them as a great bonus.

Meh, I don't really care if those kinds of commercials are on Televison. They only bother me if someone like a grandparent is in the room, creating some awkwardness for a few moments.

As for the herpes medications ads and such specifically, those are probably needed. People who are stupid enough to let themselves contract STDs are probably too stupid to go on their own to seek help. They need commercials on television to tell them to do it.

We do have one, it's with a black guy who clearly still has strong roots in wherever he came from, because not only does he suck at mouthing the words, but he also sucks at pronouncing the script. He walks around talking about erectile dysfunction at dinner parties and on football pitches. You know, the kind of places most people talk about that kind of thing.
