1. That is also a possiblity...but we may never know for sure.
2. As far as I know...OWI has never mentioned anything that could hint at where and how sligs lived before 'employment'. Besides...they look more likely to be tree dwellers then swimming types to me.
3. There wouldn't be saffishent(sp) air flow with the mask on for the scent particals to reach the scent receptors going by what I stated earlier that the main scent receptors are in the bottom set of nostrals.
