I have RTCW and it's another game that didn't live up to it's hype. It's very dissapointing but it is still good. The thing was, it had it's ups and downs. There would be fantastic missions like the beginning castle wolfenstein mission, the catacombs, the church, the town levels and Return to Castle Wolfenstein.... but then you've real crappy missions like Forest (started off good but eventually ogt poo), Airfield and some others that I forgot the names of.
I would give it about 7/10 - not a game I would recommend somebody new to the FPS genre to play - I would reccomend Halo of course
Although, my PC is quite simply crap because it's dated and I couldn't play RTCW at it's best looks (I played it on my friend's PC and it certainly is beutiful looking and smooth running!) and there was a helluva lot of lag so taht could be why I didn't enjoy it as much as I could have (which is why I am buying the XBox version when it comes out) but I it wasn't always laggy and there were some parts where it was running fairly smoothly but I wasn't enjoying it that much.
I would reccomend this game to somebody who has a top PC with at least a GeForce 2 64MB because it certainly is a beuty of a game with great detail and it may be much more enjoyable without the lag crap
Even without lag, it certainly isn't the best game in the world
