That's right. Their current meanings in the English Language are:
Odyssey: series of wanderings
Iliad: series of disasters (my dictionary only gives it 1 'l')
And for the record:
Exodus: departure
Genesis: mode of generation
Note that two are epic poems and two are books of the Old Testament.
Other nice words with the sound 'od' in them:
Oedipus (pronounced Eedapus) is a figure of Greek history/fiction. On its own, it's modern meaning is 'solver of riddles'.
An odalisque is an Eastern female slave.
