I always figured that they had a super strong stomach acid and extremely sticky tounges. then the awfoul is so tender from mixture with thousands of bursts of acid is fed to the slurgs, which have no need to have bodies any tenderer than their food.
Okay, maybe I watched a lot of Bill Nye the Science Guy after school too, but what else does PBS have? Nova?!
