The Professional
I made a right turn at the light at the intersection. I popped open my glove compartment and rumaged through insurance information and all sorts of papers, I streched out my fingers looking for it. Then I touched it, I felt the cold metal against my fingers. I gripped it firmly.
Silenced Beretta-special issue. The professional's best friend.
I pulled it out of the glove compartment and cocked it when I reached the stop sign. I drove with my left hand and held the gun in my right. I made a left and headed across a little bridge, down towards the meeting.
I slowed down and turned right, into a small road made in a corn field. I drove at around 5 miles an hour and stopped when I saw the other cars lights. I stopped the car and left the engine running. I got out.
It was around 2:00 AM. It was dead of night, the only light were the headlights from the other car.
I stood behind my door, the other cars door opened.
"Ah, Danny. Glad to see you could make it. Where is the other member of our party?" It was Joey alright. A loud-mouth Sicilian at best.
"I assume that our guest of honor will be arriving shortly." I said, I unbuttoned my suit and put my Beretta in my pocket holster. I got back in my car and pulled it off to the side of the dirt road. Joey hit the hood of his car with his palm. 5 or six wiseguys got out. They had bats and pistols. Wiseguys, I could never be one of them, but they could never be what I was. I was a professional.
About five minutes later a black Sedan slowly drove towards us, slowly making its way up the road. The car halted and pulled up ten feet away from Joey's car, the lights shining into each other.
The doors opened and a fat short little man in a blue suit got out.
"Hey, hey, Joey! Are we ready to make a deal or what?" Big Teddy Capacini. A loud mouth tough guy, I'm glad that I got to do what I was about to do. Teddy's guys got out of the car, resting their hands inside their jackets, on top of their guns.
"Sure sure Teddy, but I would like to introduce you to a friend of mine. His name is Danny Bauhmar." said Joey. I emerged from the shadows and walked over to Teddy and extended my hand.
"Glad to meet you!" I said. He grabbed my hand and shook it. My moment to shine.
I drew my pistol and pistol-whipped Teddy out of my way. I then systematically aimed and fired into his 3 companions before they could even react. Each shot penetrating their black suits and spouting shrouds of blood into the air. Their bodies hit the ground dead and lifeless.
Teddy rose up from the ground, whiping the fresh blood off his mouth. I walked over to him and grabbed him by the hair. I placed my gun on his temple.
"Should I kill him now Joey?" I said, I loved to put on a show when I performed.
"Yea Danny, I think you should kill the worthless traitor." said Joey.
"Whoah Joey," said Teddy, "I never ratted on nobody. I would never squeel on anyone unless they had it comin to 'em!" Joey seemed offended.
"Oh yea! Is that right you worthless sac of sh*t? Then how come Tommy's in jail. You screwed with me Teddy, you screwed with my family!" Joey walked over to him. He turned back to one of his guys and said,
"Bat!" One of his guys tossed him a bat. He readied his swing, I held Teddy's face forward.
*CRACK*
The sound of bone splintering and breaking was well heard. I let go of Teddy's hair. He reeled back in pain and clutched his face. His nose and skull were cracked apart. Joey turned to me, "Danny, kill 'em."
I non-chalantly raised the gun towards Teddy.
"NO!" screamed Teddy, spitting blood everywhere.
I pulled the trigger, the bullet ripped through his suit and emmitted an eruption of blood.
I turned around to Joey and said,
"Nice doing business with you." I tugged on my black leather gloves to tighten them. I put my gun back in it's holster. I got back in my car and drove home.
All in a day's work.
