My guess...
Here is my crazy idea. It is based off of bits and peices of what we already know.
The quintology heroes finally get to the khanzumer cities. They somehow meet the khanzumer queen and convince her that what her people are doing is wrong. They show her what will happen to the natural oddworld if she doesn't stop buying from the Magog Cartel and other industries. She realizes all the problems her people have caused and decides to demand the the khanzumerz boycott the glukkon products. The glukkons, terrified of losing money, agree to change their ways in order to continue to make moolah. Same business, different means. The mudokons are now free, but some still work for the glukkons to earn moolah.
