Edit: I mean, why keep trying to help a kid when they don't want the help? Teachers are like "Hey, it's your grades, I'm getting paid. If you don't want my help fine then fail." No ones going to hold you by the hand in the real world. it's hard out there.

Pinky, nobody doesn't care about their future. Poor education is not the fault of the students (who are often blamed), the schools (who are often blamed), or the teachers (who are often blamed). It is the fault of the Education System itself. My mother went to an Open-Plan school, which was a school where you got to choose what you learned each day, and basically do what you wanted. It was part of a short-term scheme that was operating around the time when she was a child. The average grades of the students from Open-Plan Schools was 2 (count 'em, 2) grades higher than that of ordinary Comprehensives. Sadly, the scheme came to an end, and the Open-Plan Schools were shut down, because (get this!) they
weren't profitable enough! Can you imagine that? The Government cared more about profits than about the Education of its youth! *shakes head* And people say that Labour are worse than the Tories... How short our memories have become...
