No, SATs are not fairly good. They are baised and they don't indicate intellegence. When is you have a problem? They try to indicate your intellegence while you are dylexic? The SATs were basically created to weed out the smartest people and give them better schooling than the rest. The SATs were first used in the army, then they were used to predict how kids would do in their first term of college. People felt that the immigrants were lowering the intelligence of the nation. The schools wanted to make sure that they weren't going to admit kids that weren't going to do well.
There are people who do acceptable on the SATs and they are doctors, lawyers, etc.

I think there's the slightest possibility that American SATs are different things to British SATs... Everything else about your education system is different (worse), so it makes sense that this would be, too. It certainly
sounds worse...
