Danny, you're right. I checked, and aristocrat is definitely not the word I should have used. Blame that on insufficient knowlege of the word rather than the creature, though.
I should, of course, have used the word...er, well, like you say, bureaucrat.
Incidently, I'm not sure I'd use the word aristocrat for Khanzumerz, either (now that I now what it means). They've been likened to tourists before, and though they clearly are not. Neverless, while they may be nobles, I doubt they are political power-weilders.
