When Vaalm reached the town it was almost completely dark, for which he was thankful; Teuzos and the suns rays don't like each other much.
He stayed just within the forest at first, studying the town from a distance. It looked semi-industrialized, though the industrial part was mostly on the northern side of the town. The rest of the town looked like a mix of residential and native trade booths.
Vaalm smiled; a trade town with an industial section surely meant easy hunting. And traders are more likely to be afriad of death then the homeless folk back in Carthag.
When it was quite dark he come out of the forest and trotted into the village. He explored the place, noting good ambush spots and where the few homeless in the industial sector hang. At this time of day not many would be up and about...but Vaalm was still cautious; using his stealth and powers of suggestion to keep himself from being noticed.
When he was satisfied, he set about looking for a place where he could sleep away the daylight hours. Move down by the shore he followed it aways until he spotted a cave just outside the town limits to the south. He sniffed carefully and found that nothing else lived there and went in. The cave was a fairly large one, with ample room and it was partly flooded, due to the high tide, but that didn't bother him in the least. In fact he saw it as an advantage; the tide would wash away any evidence of his presence and the sea would provide the prefect dumping place for his victims.
He was tempted to go hunting, but knew he didn't need to for another day. Then he realized he needed to fix himself a spot to crash every day. After spotting a dry shelf that would suit his needs, he headed out, making careful note of the location of his new home. He climbed up onto the beach and headed into the forest to gather bedding matterial....
