1. I think he or she (?) is talking about stem cells found in foeuses (or embryos?). They haven't managed to cure cancer with it yet. That's mainly because too many governments have banned human stem cell research (bastards).
I recently saw something where a rat's spine had some fluid leaked and they used stem cells to restore full movement to the rat's hind legs (which is what was parylised by the fluid draining). It has great potential.
2. There have been stem cells found in adults but I'm not sure of the quality and quantity compared to those found in foetuses.
