Possessing plants... kinda conjures up memories of two cult movies - Little Shop of Horrors and Attack of the Killer Tomatoes!
Little Shop of Horror has a huge Man Eating Plant in it... as for Attack of the Killer Tomatoes... need I say more!!!
But if plants were possesed... you wouldn't be looking at whimpy things like flowers and shrubs... you'd need to possess vines and stuff like that that can be used for strangling.
And knowing Oddworld... well I'm sure they are to have some rather unique and unusual plant varieties out there!
