Chapter 7 A mystery in itself




Derec in suspended animation dreamt, of a future danger approaching the horizon. He witnessed a great battle, and the destruction of the city he lived in, the sky had turned black and the sun was blocked by an eclipse.

Derec awoke unable to see clearly. He looked through the fog and realized he was trapped inside a glass tube. He could barely make out the figures who were observing, his still, unclothed body. They appeared to be scientists of some sort that were discussing something about him.

He atempted to hit the glass, as the scientists in the white lab coats stared curiosly at this attenpt of communication. Derec finally recognized who they were, he had read a profile on the beings known as Vykkers.

They whispered something to Derec as though to talk to him, then they touched a button on the control panel and released the tube. Derec stumbled out, and the Vykkers kindly lifted his body up.

" Don't be frightened, Derec we knew you were coming. We will escort you to your room we have much to discuss." The Vykker said to Derec as the others followed.

"Bu....." Derec mumbled.

" Do not worry Derec everything will be fine, everything will be revealed about your purpose to us. We are very blessed with you here, it is fortunate you have come now."


The Group followed into the organic hallways of the facility, with millions of suspended creatures watching from thier tubes. Derec had know idea what was in store for him next.......
